It took half a decade, but the long-awaited sequel to Aragami is finally here - aptly named 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Aragami 2. Set roughly 100 years after the original cult classic, players are given the easier-said-than-done task of sleuthing and stabbing with a sprinkling of sneaking thrown in for good measure. Thankfully Aragami (the player, not the game) stars a spectral death ninja, which makes the delicate art of espionage a bit more man💝ageable.
As with all ghosts, Aragami can do all kinds of supernatural shenanigans. So much so, he gives 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:other supernatural murderers a run for their money. You have access to a range of powerful abilities, in addition to your already formidable toolkit of mundane actions. That being said, it can get a tad overwhelming considering the number of abilities at your disposal - especially when you factor in upgrades. There are no bad abilities in Aragami, but there are some standout powers that will turn you fro🏅m Ninja Adept to Death Incarnate.
5 💖 Dark Flame ♍
Dark Flame grants Aragami the invaluable ability to turn torches into deadly smokescreens. One of Aragami's weaknesses is his difficulty dealing with groups of mooks. Dark Flame handily covers up that character flaw and more-or-less incapacitates entire groups of enemies. One cast results in a blinding fog that allows Aragami to murder everyone within the cloud without consequence. It even lasts long enough to hide the bodies afterward.
Upgrade
The Upgrade to Dark Flame is where things get extra hot though. Instead of just blinding whoever wanders into your firetrap, it instantly incapacitates them. A handy time-saver that gives you even more time to handle the evidence and get out without anyone noticing your devilish handiwork. The only downside to Dark Flame is the resource cost - you NEED fire to trigger the ability.
4 🌺 Blo♓od Smoke
Sometimes you just need to kill a guy and do so without alerting every Tom, Dick, and Harry. In something like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the-now-dormant Tenchu, you'd have to be extra sneaky. In Aragami 2, Blood Smoke has you covered. On the surface, this ability is just a fancy execution. In reality, Blood Smoke gives you free rein when it comes to murder. You use the ability, whoever you wanted dead, dies, and then you get a nice smokescreen to cover your movements. Use this time to hide evidence or escape. An invaluable tool for getting through crowded areas.
Upgrade
Blood Smoke's upgrade is rather interesting. Instead of improving the abilities murder potential, it allows the player to make up for any previous lapses in judgment (or skill). Upon executing the ability (and the hapless sod in front of you) you gain a heal-over-time effect that tops up your health bar nicely. Not the strongest upgrade, but certainly one that tweaks the game's balance in your favor.
3 Wraith
Aragami is a stealthy bloke. I mean, he is a ghost ninja after all. He's not infallible, however, and sometimes you bump into someone you were desperately trying to avoid. Wraith almost completely removes that issue as it gives Aragami the power of invisibility. The uses for Wraith are fairly obvious - you can sneak past enemies without having to hide in a bush. The downside of Wraith is that it doesn't last forever, and it's purely a visual thing. Running about still causes enemies to be alerted to your sound, so you are forced to move slowly - limiting its effectiveness.
Upgrade
That issue is rectified once upgraded. Once you have powered up Wraith, you no longer make a sound when running, radically improving its zone of influence. Whilst before you had to slowly walk around to avoid being heard, now you can sprint full pelt down a busy street and people will be none the wiser. It's also pretty handy when you are trying to escape after accidentally falling off a roof and into a horde of sword-wielding killers.
2 ๊ Shadow Pull
As handy as a sword is in a sword fight - or for stabbing things - it's pretty limited when it comes to people being more than a few feet away. Throwing your sword isn't exactly an option, and it would be safe to assume it wouldn't be all that effective. Shadow Pull fills this gap by allowing Aragami to yank enemies from one location and forcibly teleport them into your fist. This is a fantastic way to pick off wandering patrolmen or that one awkward guy who just won't get out of your way. If you use it in a bush, then the guy you just eviscerated will already have his body hidden, so you can move on with your unlife.
Upgrade
The upgrade to Shadow Pull is pure utility. It gives you the ability to teleport things like unconscious - or dead - enemies to your location. As far as upgrades go, Shadow Pull's is pretty situational, but can certainly do work in a pinch. Shadow Pull is an ability that soars based on its base form, however.
1 🦂 Shadow Kill ♚
Shadow Kill makes this list partially because it's just a cool ability - and partially because it's the best ability in the game. Aragami conjures a shadow dragon to munch on whatever enemy you get close to. That's not all though, it has an area-of-effect side ability that stuns nearby enemies making them easy pickings for follow-up kills. Since the original target was eaten by a shadow dragon, it leaves no body, saving you time on the cleanup - how very considerate. This ability almost has it all - killing, utility, AOE - if only it had range.
Upgrade
Oh wait, that's what the upgrade is for. Shadow Kill retains all of its amazing properties, but now instead of conjuring a shadow from your own body, you summon it at a distance to devour enemies from the safety of a nearby bush. Shadow Kill goes from an A-Tier ability to SSS+-Tier in one upgrade. It's the swiss army knife of Aragami abilities - with the added benefit of having a shadow dragon plonked between the can opener and the screwdriver. You could argue summoning a spectral dragonoid to kill the occasional enemy is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:playing Stealth games wrong, ꦚbut the &q🦩uot;Rule of Cool" absolutely overrides that.
