Arc System Works' CEO, Minoru Kidooka, has said that a fighting game from it is "something to think about" and said that it's not outside the realm of possibility, even if it's seemingly not in the works right now.
Ever since Arc System Works reinvented the anime fighting game genre with the basically-perfect , everyone's been hoping that the studio takes on another popular anime license and gives it the same treatment. Some popular series that have been chucked around by fans include , My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, and, of course, One Piece.
Although an Arc System Works One Piece game may seem like a pipe dream, about 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Guilty Gear and BlazBlue, and they managed to sneak in a question about the possibility of it working on a One Piece game. Kidooka's response implies that it's not something that's being worked on right now, but that it's not "outside the realm of possibility" for the studio.
Kidooka said, "As I said before, I want to work with other people and use what resources we have to create a fun game for the FGC to really rally behind. However, One Piece is something to think about. I can't say whether we're thinking about One Piece specifically. I can't say, "oh yeah, One Piece, yes or no." I can't say either way, but it doesn't mean it's decided or doesn't mean it's outside the realm of possibility."
Kidooka also made sure to stress that Arc System Works is a small studio and that it can't just take on any project that comes up. While it's nice for Kidooka to acknowledge the possibility of a One Piece fighting game, his answer makes it seem like something that's a very long way away, if it ever happens at all. For now, we can just look forward to seeing what Arc Sys works on next.
