6's key art has been leaked thanks to someone on Reddit using a "pre-install" trick on their Xbox, which briefly lets you see a game's boot-up art.

Although we've yet to see anything more from Armored Core 6 other than the CGI reveal trailer that FromSoftware shared last year, it appears that it's still planned for release this year. Earlier this week it was given an age rating in Korea that indicated that it's nearing the end of its development, and now its key art has been leaked thanks to someone using a pre-install trick on Xbox, making it even clearer that it's not far from release.

Over on the Armored Core subreddit, . According to them, they used a "pre-install trick" that then let them click on the game and get a glimpse of its key art for the first time. It's not clear what the trick used actually does, but it seems that it just makes your Xbox think that the game is installed, allowing you to click on it.

Although the image that Eliwats17 shared was quite grainy since it was taken off-screen, . So, if you're looking for a new Armored Core background, then it looks like today is your lucky day.

As for the key art itself, it doesn't give away anything new about the game, even if it is a very striking piece of art. It shows one of the game's mechs kneeling down in front of some strange structures that are bathed in a purple and yellow light. The mech itself looks to be in a serious state of disrepair, as it's missing an arm and has signs of battle damage all around it. Again, it doesn't really give anything away about the game, but at least it looks sick.

Funnily enough, even though Armored Core 6 is looking to be very different from the rest of FromSoftware's recent games, it does look an awful lot like the key art for several of its Soulsborne games, something that fans have pointed out over on the subreddit. All of them seem to prominently feature one colour, while the protagonist character kneels or sits in front of the camera after seemingly having gone through a big battle. That's no different here, expect this time it's a massive mech instead of someone in a suit of armour. We dig it.
