The Moonlight Greatsword is a FromSoftware staple, first appearing in King's Field back in 1994. Since then, From has included the sword in some of its most iconic games, from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dark Souls to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Armored Core, so it's no surprise that it has returned nearly three decades later in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fires of Rubicon.

It appeared in the first Armored Core as the LS-99-MOONLIGHT three years after King's Field in 1997 and has since returned in all of its sequels. Armored Core 5 even had three versions. However, despite the blade being a long-running easter egg across From's library, it is best known these days for its appearance in the Soulsborne series.

It cropped up in Ninja Blade in 2009, and only a week later, in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Demon's Souls as the Large Sword of Moonlight. Then it appeared in Dark Souls two years later, simply called the Moonlight Greatsword. Dark Souls 2 had a sword of the same name and a copy, the Bluemoon Greatsword. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Bloodborne continued the trend with the Holy Moonlight Sword, lifting its name directly from King's Field, and it surfaced again in Dark Souls 3. While absent in Sekiro, it did pop up in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Elden Ring ⛦as the Dark Moon Greatsword. And now, you can get it in Arm🍸ored Core 6.

This discovery was made by John Payne and EJRaven_ACO on Twitter, with a rough translation 🍒of the screenshot being provided by Reddit user peetaablah; "A merge of laser and pulse technologies that shoots out a wave. If you charge it, the wave will be stronger ﷺand bigger".

A lot of Souls staples originate from previous FromSoftware games, the Moonlight Greatsword being one of the moꦇst iconic examples. Another is Patches, the bald trickster that often pushes you off cliffs into dange𓆏rous holes with the faux promise of loot.

He first appeared in Armored Core: For Answer as a mercenary under the code name "Patches For Good Luck", a stealthy long-ranged nuisance who begs for his life when you start to win the fight. He resurfaced as Patches the Hyena in Demon's Souls, Trusty Patches in Dark Souls, Patches the Spider in Bloodborne, Unbreakable Patches in Dark Souls 3, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Patches the Untethered in Elden Ring.

Maybe he's hiding somewhere out there in Armored Core 6, as well, waiting to be found. Perhaps we can bring things full circle and slash him up with the Moonlight Greatsword, or maybe he's still busy pushing clerics into ditches back in the world of Dark Souls. We'll find out soon enough as more fans push through the game.
