But, while discussions may be taking place, Arrowhead's CEO has shared his personal thoughts on the flamethrower with fans.
"I Liked The Older One"
When askeꦆd in the official Helldivers 2 Discord channel about his thoughts on the flamer visuals, and whether he thought they were better or worse, Arrowhead CEO Shams Jorjarni said that he "liked the older one."
Jorjani was quick to point out that this was, in fact, his own personal opinion and doesn't represent that of the company at large, but it's interesting to see that he is firmly with the community on the matter.
The CEO has been active in replying to the Helldivers 2 community on the issue. Another player asked him, "How does it make sense that a flamethrower can't cook something in armor that's attached to its skin and vital organs?" To which Jorjani replied, "I don't think it makes sense at all. And it's something I raised internally."
The issue has clearly had a major impact within Arrowhead, with Jorjani sharing that "we need to improve a lot in understanding what players want and marry that to the development process," adding that "Just talking about it isn't enough. Actions matter."
As Jorjani says, "Actions matter", but it's openness like this that are going to endear him to the bustling, passionate Helldivers 2 community.
