A book that contains a collection of writings by former Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata is being translated into English and released by VIZ Media, with an expectedꦑ release date of Spring 2021.
The original Japanese version of Iwata-san is a book by Yasuda Nagata that combines numerous articles written by Iwata for both the Hobonichi and Nintendo website. The book also contains all of the "Iwata-asks" interviews, where he spoke to different developers about their classic projects and most recent releases. Iwata-san also contains interviews with prominent industry figures, such as 🤪Shigeru Miyamoto and Shigesato Itoi,🌳 who reminisce about their old friend and colleague.
An English version of Iwata-san is currently in the works. According to a tweet released by VIZ Media, Ask Iwata: Words of Wisdom from Nintendo's Legendary CEO is due to receivܫe a digital and physical release in Sprin🎃g 2021.
Satoru Iwata was a former CEO and president of Nintendo, but he started out as a programmer; it's due to his hard work that many cames were saved from cancelation. If it weren't for Iwata, then we may never have received games like EarthBound or Pokémon Gold & Silver, or at least not in the forms that currently exist. It was under Iwata's leadership that Nintendo entered the DS and Wii years, which were some of the most financially successful in the history of the company and helped bring video games to an audience that might never ha💮ve experienced thꦍem otherwise.
Satoru Iwata was one of the most beloved figures at Nintendo during his tenure at the company, and his passing in 2015 caused an outpouring of support from across the industry. Several Nintendo games that have been released since his death have included loving homages to Iwata, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, proving that he might be gone, but he is not forgottꦆen by those within the industry who he worked closely with over tꦺhe years.
