Assassin's Creed Origns Aya Stabbing Julius Ceasar In The Back With Her Blade

If you know a bit about ancient Roman history, the thing Julius Caesar is most famously associated with is his death. He was stabbed to death during a session of🌄 the Roman Senate 𝓰23 times by a majority of the political senators gathered there.

Assassin's Creed Origins plays on this historical event and inevitably ties it into the story, where Bayek's wife Aya is the one to initiate the incident.

13 🔯 Ning The Treasurer

Assassin's Creed Mirage

Assassin's Creed Mirage Close-Up Of The Treasurer Order Member Ning In Her Mask And Costume

Assassin's Creed Mirage isn't necessarily the most memorable Assassin's Creed game, bar the ending, but it promised to bring tꦇhe series back to classic assassinations, and that it did. When Basim Ibn Ishaq is on the hunt for the Order member going by The Treas♈urer, you ha🃏ve some intricate assassination level design that can even top moments in the original entries.

The setting is the bustling Bazaar in the Karkh district for the Da'irat Al-mal auction, and you'll have to really work your way toward getting at The Treasurer by first investing and eavesdropping for intel on their name, which you learn is Ning. Assassin's Creed Unity Close-Up Of Sivert With Arno's Hidden Blade Going Through The Confessional Divider And Into His Neck

If you were to form a picture of Charles Gabriel Sivert from Assassin's Creed Unity in your head, chances are this is the image that still lingers. What makes his assassination so memorable is the location, circumstances, and method of stealth the game encourages you to use. To get to him, you also have to scale and parkour around the most important historical landmark in the game – the Notre-Dame Cathedral.

Once you're inside, you must sneak around guards and wait for Sivert to enter a confessional booth. Sivert thinks his co-conspirator has arrived on the other side of the cabinet, but it's you, Arno Dorian, and you then get a button prompt to cut him off mid-sentence and jam the hidden blade into his throat in a slow-motion frame.

Assassin's Creed Rogue

Assassin's Creed Rogue Shay Patrick Cormac Stabbing Arno's Father Charles Dorain During The Ending Sequence

The series achieved something brilliant with Assassin's Creed Rogue and hasn't been able to pull off anything quite like it since. The game's final assassination leads directly into the plot of Assassin's Creed Unity, where a young child, Arno Dorian, finds his father Charles assassinated in the Palace of Versailles.

Suffice to say, the main characters of Assassin's Creed games are overpowered. In fact, they just kee🔯p growing in power🐻 over time.

Rogue brilliantly weaves the two stories together through its protagonist-turned-antagonist Shay Patrick Cormac, an assassin who was mentored under Achilles Davenport and then betrays the Brotherhood to join the Templars and hunt down assassin targets one by one. His final target was Charles Dorian, the assassin in possession of the sought-after Precursor Box, and that assassination would shape the trajectory of Unity's protagonist.

10 Robert De Sa🥀blé

Assassin's Creed (2007)

Assassin's Creed Robert de Sable holding his helmet

The first Assassin's Creed game definitely isn't the best, but it has some particularly memorable assassinations. As an introduction to the novel gameplay that the games have become famous for, it worked wonderfully. (And it had an exceptional setting).

No assassination was more impactful than Robert de Sablé's, the Grand Master of the Knights Templar. Early in the game, Altaïr attempts to assassinate him and fails. After a long fight at the Battle of Arsuf at the end of the game, however, Altaïr succeeded and learned a dark secret with Robert's dying words.

9 ꦅ 𓃲 Uberto Alberti

Assassin's Creed 2

Assassin's Creed 2 Uberto Alberti Standing In Front Of A Hooded Rodrigo Borgia

A lot of the people you have to kill throughout the Assassin's Creed series are really nasty pieces of work. Uberto Alberti is exactly this. He's one of the early villains in Assassin's Creed 2, who, as Gonfaloniere of Florence at the time, has the power to save Ezio's family.

After being given evidence that should save Ezio's family, it's expected that Uberto will not sentence them to death. But instead, he chose to ignore it, and sentenced themꦛ all to death, including a young boy. Very few characters deserved dꦉeath more than him, ♓as he is so plainly evil.

8 🍎 Stefano Da Bagnone

Assassin's Creed 2

Assassin's Creed Stefano da Bagnone murdering someone

There are some characters who are so evil and so cowardly at the same time, wielding their power from the shadows and fleeing from proper conflict. Stefano da Bagnone is exactly💝 that, conspiring to kill Lorenzo de Medici with the other Pazzi conspirators.

Of course, Ezio hunted this cowardly character in Assassin's Creed 2, but he fled to a monastery. This assassination allowed the game to show off its exciting social stealth, as Ezio blended in as a monk to enter the monastery, find Stefano, and kill him with the hidden blade. A classic Assassin's Creed assassination, executed perfectly.

7 Charl🃏es Lee 🐟

Assassin's Creed 3

Assassin's Creed Charles Lee looks sternly

On the side of the Patriots during Assassin's Creed 3, Charles Lee is an easy character to dislike. His story is tied to Connor's at multiple points, and even though the game wasn't a high point for the series, it's these powerful characters tied to impactful story moments that make it so special.

Charles Lee is a man who met Connor early in the game, when he was still a young boy, strangling him in the woods to find the location of his village. After his promotion to Grand Master of the Templar Order, Connor tracks him down, and through a ꦜslow fight, eventually brings him to death.

6 Cesare ꦉBorgia

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Assassin's Creed Cesare Borgia Holding the Apple of Eden in Monterrigioni

A man obsessed with power, Cesare Borgia became Grand Master of the Templars after his father's death. Obsessed by the all-powerful object — the Apple of Eden — he desired total control.

He attacked the charismatic player character Ezio's safehouse of Monteriggioni at the beginning of the game, driven to wipe out the Auditore family, killing Mario at the same time. Again, Ezio had to deal with the death of someone close to him, and from there, he chased down the murderer until he was dead.
