Ubisoft has been going all in on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Assassin's Creed lately, within a bunch of new titles in the series currently in development, ranging from shorter experiences like the upcoming Assassin's Creed Mirage to mobile games like Assassin's Creed Jade. However, it seems like there's one more title in development that Ubisoft hasn't announced yet, that being a full blown remake of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag.
According to two anonymous sources speaking with , a remake of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag is in the earliest stages of development over at Ubisoft, with Skull & Bones developer Ubisoft Singapore heavily involved with planning due to its fancy new ocean tech. Given that it's still in very early development, we probably won't be seeing an official announcement for a good few years, especially since Ubisoft already has a few already announced Assassin's Creed games to get out of the way first.
For those that are fans of the title, you'll know that one of the biggest parts of Black Flag is its naval combat, something that was built upon in later Assassin's Creed games as well as Skull & Bones. If a remake is in development like Kotaku suggests, it seems likely the naval combat will get a pretty major overhaul, as will sailing the high seas in general. Skull & Bones might be taking an age to finally release, but you have to admit that it's naval combat and oceans look pretty decent.
We have to get through a bunch of other Assassin's Creed games to get to the Black Flag remake though, with Assassin's Creed Mirage being the first out the gates, a shorter adventure that will dive into Assassin's Creed: Valhalla character Basim's backstory. After that, we'll get 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:two bigger Assassin's Creed projects, the first being Codename Red, which will reportedly take place in Feudal Japan. The title will apparently star a Shinobi/Samurai as the main characeter and will be inspire𒈔d by Splinter ൩Cell and the Hitman series.
Then we have Assassin's Creed: Project Hexe to look forward to, though details regarding the title are pretty thin on the ground. It's rumored that it'll lean more towards horror and is set during the witch trials in 16th Century Europe. Neither of the projects currently have dates attached to them, suggesting it's going to be a good long while before we actually get to see them in action.
Hopefully, this Black Flag remake will be a Mirage-esque stopgap between the two big titles just to tide fans over. If it is in early development, it's difficult to imagine Ubisoft waiting until after Codename Hexe is released to release it. Either that, or Ubisoft is planning to really pump out Assassin's Creed titles over the next few years.
