The games tell a story that spans tens of thousands of millennia. From the Isu, or Precursors, in their hyper-advanced society 77,000 years ago to the subjects using the Animus in the present, there is a large time period 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:covered in this series of games. Naturally, when covering this muc꧟h time, things can ꩲget confusing.
It doesn't help that the Assassin's Creed series also tries to retell a very altered form of history, so these ideas and themes have to be woven through different parts of the world at different times in an effort to tell 💎a cohesive story. Inevitably, things are going to get mixed up. Here are some of the most confusing aspects of the Assassin's Creed timeline, ranked. Expect spoilers.
10 🔯 The Technology
One of the most basic ideas of the Assassin's Creed series is actually one of the least historically feasible things about the games. The Hidden Blade of the Assassins is a spring-loaded device that would have been a technological marvel in the vast majority of the Assassin's creed timeline. At the very least, the Hidden Blade co⛄uldn't have been invented until the first springs in the 15th and 16th Centuries.
The Apple of Eden is used as the lampshade for most of this, as it apparently helped the earliest Assassins create much of their technology. It's also worth mentioning that Leonardo da Vinci created a functioning wrist-gun and flyi♊ng machine for Ezio (yes, Da Vinci had diagrams for a flying machine, but diagrams and functional creations are two very different things).
9 The Templaඣrs Killed Jesus ♑
This is a weird detail discovered while doing the resear𓂃ch for this article: the Templar Ord𝄹er is responsible for the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Also, a Shroud of Eden is the means by which Jesus was resurrected.
I𝔍t's pretty odd that the Templars are responsible for the Crucifixion, considering that the Templar Order was historically an overtly Christian order. That said, the Templar Order was known as the Order of the Ancients at this point in the timeline, and the Templars of the Assassin's Creed series isn't religious. That said, this is still a very odd detail, especially considering the actual historical Templar Orderꦫ.
8 ꦬAmerican Al💟tair
This is another relatively small detail in the grand scheme of Assassin꧃'s Creed,🔯 but Altair Ibn-La'Ahad of the original Assassin's Creed has a very distinct 21st Century American accent, despite being a Syrian man living in the 1170s.
This is apparently because Ubisoft asked voice actor Philip Sh🎉ahbaz to provide a Middle Eastern accent but eventually 💦had him drop it for "accessibility" reasons. That said, it was very distracting while playing the original title.
7 Wa💛it, Odജyssey Is Before Origins?
One would think that th♛e title Assassin's Creed: Origins would have provided the earliest story in the Assassin's Creed saga, but that's not actually the case. Assassin's Creed: Odyssey actually takes place before Assassin's Creed: Origins and before the actual founding of the Assassins' Order, also known as the Oꩵrder of the Hidden Ones.
So, yes, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Assassin's Creed: Odyssey takes place before Origins and tells of events that help lead to 🏅the founding of the Assassins' Order. How𒊎ever, the more pivotal details of the game come from the presence of the Isu in the story.
6 🌼 The Full Story Of Altair Ibn𝓡-La'Ahad
Altair has the most expansive and, consequently, one of the hardest to believe stories in the entirety of the Assa𒁏ssin's Creed franchise. Altair of course drives the events of the original Assassin's Creed, which involves fighting in the Third Crusade and recovering the Apple of Eden, as well as the events of Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles, which involve a duel with someone known as the Basilisk as well as trying to recover 🍷an item called the Chalice - actually a woman named Adha.
Altair also participated in several insane events that were revealed in Assassin's Creed: Revelations as well as in novels. Notably, he continued fighting against the Templars, liberated Cyprus, married and had two sons, was exiled from the order and traveled East, killed Genghis Khan, went to war with the Mongols, and e🦹ventually died when Masyaf was besieged by the Mongols. Admittedly, Ezio Auditore has a similarly buck w🐻ild story, but Altair's beats his out, just by the involvement of🙈 Genghis Khan.
5 ꦰ The Kenway Family
The Kenway family is an odd and somewhat confusing element to the Assassin's Creed story too. Edward Kenway was a two-bit pirate who stumbled across an Assassin, killing him and stealing his gear. He later was converted to the Assassins' Order by Mary Read and Ah Tabai. Despite becom🐻ing a loyal member of the Assassins, his son Haytham Kenway betrayed the family and joined the Templars.
Haytham did work for the Templars in the American Colonies but was ultimately killed by his son, Connor Kenway, who joined up with the Assassins. This weird rubberbanding of the Kenw💮ay family is both perplexing and tries t🔯he suspension of disbelief.
4 🌊 The Spread Of The Assassins ﷺ
The Assassins are a global order, and it boggles the mind how quickly they spread around the globe. Assassin's Creed: Origins shows that the Assassins officially started as the Order of the Hidden Ones in Egypt, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Valhalla shows that the Assassins ওhad already spread to England before even a millennium had 📖passed.
By the time of Assassin's Creed: Revelations, it's shown that China already has an enclave of Assassins of its own, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:and Black Flag shows that the Assassins had a hold in the Caribbean before Edward ever put on the hood. Ideas can spread quickly, but it seems that the Assassins' Order spread quicker than even many 🌊religions. Even without the benefit of planes, phones, and the internet, the Assassins had a hold in just about every corner of the world within a thousand years ♔of their birth.
3 𝔉 The✱ Lineage Of Desmond Miles
The lineage of Desmond Miles is quite a marvel of its own. While most people would probably be surprised how far back their family goes, Desmond's fa♚mily reaches to just about every corner of the Western Hemisphere. Between Ezio, Altair, Edward, and Connor, Ezio has family reaching back to Syria, Turkey, Italy, Britain,🐭 and the Mohawk Tribe of Native Americans.
Of course, the re🎉ally baffling aspect of the Miles family is how they had a hand in several significant historical events, and it's ha🌟rd to follow how the family reached each of those points.
2 🐷 When Did The Assassins Rea𝓡lly Start?
The origins of the Assassins are still a little confusing, not helped by the aforementioned stories of Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Origins. The order officially began as the Order of the Hidden Ones in Egypt in Origins, but their founding does 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:go back to Greece with Odyssey. However, it seems like the order was somew𒉰hat remade by Altair in Musayaf about a millennium later.
It doesn't hel⭕p that the whole order actually tracks back to Adam and Eve and their rebellion against the Isu, which conveniently brings usౠ to...
1 🐎 The Isu/Precursors ༺
The Isu are easily the most confusing aspect of the whole Assassin's Creed saga. They're like ancient aliens, but they're not. They seem to originate from Earth but have physiology akin to gods. Many of them are named after 168澳洲幸运🐲5开奖网:Roman, Greek, Egyptian, and Norse gods. They're supposed to be the inspiration of the gods of mythology, but then why does each culture only have certain parts of the Is🦩u culture as their mythology.
It's also difficult to believe that only parts of the Assassins and Templars seem to have found any evidence of the Is🍷u. Also, even though they're not really gods, they created and enslaved humanity and have the ability to transpose their minds into technology and artifacts. Also, they were all wiped out by a coronal mass ejection and yet were unable to pull themselves together to prevent this from killing them. Also, Adam and Eve were the first humans to rebel against the Isu. Did you get all that?
