Assassin's Creed Jade starts its closed beta today, and already footage has leaked online showing that Kassandra and Wei Yu are back. He's the man who assassinated China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang--you probably know him from a statue under the villa in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Assassin's Creed 2. Now we can play as him.
This isn't the first time Kassandra has popped up since Odyssey. At the end of The Fate of Atlantis DLC, she gets an ancient precursor staff that grants her immortality. She lives up until Layla's time in the modern day, which means that she can feasibly pop up in most of the games. We met her again in Valhalla through Eivor's perspective and now we're set to meet her again through Wei Yu's.
In the clip, we can see Kassandra showing Wei Yu how to perform the Leap of Faith, with the two bantering as he follows her. This is part of the quest "A Mediterranean Expedition", the object being to "Go with Kassandra". The two take out guards at the dock together, Wei Yu handling the ones lower down while Kassandra climbs up high. During this clip, Wei Yu doesn't have a hidden blade, but he does use a knife much as Kassandra did her spear.
The rest of the footage shows Wei Yu fighting off enemies at the docks with a spear, giving us a glimpse at the mobile HUD and combat. It's not a 1:1 with the RPG Assassin's Creeds, but it's incredibly similar.
The clip was leaked by LolcatP on the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, though they aren't certain if posting the footage is permitted. "Unsure if I'm even allowed to share recordings so I'll consider it a leak for now," LolcatP said. "Runs better than I would've thought on a Pixel 7 seeing as it's not really made for gaming." But everything is permitted, eh?
It's not the first time footage has leaked. rickreckt shared a clip they claim to have found from the Assassin's Creed Syncposting Facebook page that likely originated from an early playtester. This two-minute video showed the player scaling the Great Wall of✅ China as they protected Yonging Village.
Jade is an open-world RPG set in Ancient China, and while we don't know much about the story, it's safe to assume we'll end up killing emperor Qin Shi Huang. That was Wei Yu's legacy by the time of Renaissance Italy, after all.
Granted, Aya also had a statue in AC2 that reveals she killed Cleopatra, but we don't see this in Origins. Maybe things will be different this time, though.
