With Assassin's Creed: Valhalla on the horizon, there are many people who are going back to try and work their way through the gigantic game known as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. In this title, players control either Alexios or Kassandra who 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:are essentially demi-god assassins, and make their way through the168澳洲幸运5开奖网: members of the Cult of Cosmos, all of Ancient Greece, and🍌 ♌even the world of the Gods.
But, one of the longest questlines in the game ꩵhas to do with the Daughters of Artemis, a mysterious tribe of hunters who can be found all over the map. So, in order to clear some things up, here are ten things fans might not have known 🐻about this faithful band of nature-lovers.
10 The G𝔍ame Points Kassandra Toward Daphnae No Matter What
The first time most people met Daphnae, the leader of the🔥 DoA, i♏t was just after stumbling upon their temple to Synchronize with the location. And, after meeting her, we're quickly given the task to go kill the Kalydonian Boar in order to prove ourselves. Now, this fight happens right next to the DoA Temple. With that in mind, there are a few players who happened upon the boar and killed it before ever meeting Daphnae, and in the case, the game will help out a tad by having one of the followers pop up and point you in her direction to turn the pelt in.
9 They're Territorial And Confrontat𝕴ional ꧑
There are an immense number of side-quests in AC: Odyssey, so much that they can be divided into separate categories. There are "main" side-quests, timed side quests, boat-specific side-quests, and then bounty quests that usually just boil down to some ra൲ndom NPC asking you to kill someone. Well, some of these bounty's have you going after the DoA, some have yoꦇu rescuing a DOA member, and either of these situations is where we find out that these girls are real troublemakers. They scare off or murder anyone that hunts in their woods, protect the forest by their own rules, free animals from the villages, and destroy statues or sculptures that they deem unfit for the area.
8 They Partner Upꦜ With the Wildlife
There are also three different types of DoA me🍸mbers, the normal ones called 💙"Huntresses", the ones with wolf companions called "Pathfinders", and the ones with a big bear buddy called the "Beastmasters". When players are wandering the countryside and stumble across a camp of enemies and a bear suddenly joins the brawl, 99% of the time these are Daughters of Artemis. Their description in-game mentions that they use wolves and boars to help them protect the forest, but this seems odd considering we've never seen them use a boar. In any case, these ladies team up with the forest animals themselves.
7 💫 ♋ They Don't Seem To Communicate Quickly About Leadership Changes
And, while we're on the topic of them being our enemies, let's talk about how absolutely fickle this band of huntresses are! First off, they rally against Kassandra/Alexios if they pick their love for Daphnae over becoming the leader of the DoA. Secondly, even when you've been hired by Daphnae, they'll still attack you on sight. And third, even if you become their leader, their camps across the map still have a tendency to be hostile towards you! Players have reported bugs on both sides where the DoA won't attack them but will after they loot the chests, or that they will even when by all accounts they would be attacking their leader. These sort of flaws 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:are🅠 one's we're h𒁏oping Valhalla avoids.
6 We Made Them Our Crew🗹
The funny thing about the Daughters of Artemis questline is that the end reward isn't nearly as good as all the individual rewards that are given throughout. As each pelt is given to Daphnae, players wilಌl be given their accompanying equipment at around their level. Most of these are parts of the Artemis Legendary set, while some are weapons like the Artemis' Bow that are useful for most of the game.
Yet, the reward for killing Daphnae and becoming the new "head" of the Daughters of Artemis is a measly crew theme for your ship. It's neat if players are going for an "all-female" crew while playing Kassandra, since most of Odyssey's players prefer this badass female, but still quite the disa🍌ppointing cosmetic end reward for a quest that spans most of the game campaign.
5 ﷽ Romance Is No Good For This Questline ✤
This game cleaned up a lot of gameplay mechanics between AC: Origins and Odyssey, but it didn't add all too many "new" systems. Still, one of the rare things they did add were new dialog options like Lie, Threaten, and Romance. Now, most of these don't actually change much, in fact they usually show some 168澳洲幸运5开奖网ꦡ:flaws in the logic of the "Animus Sy𒆙stem" and how it works. But the Romance options at least add new scenes and sometimes extra rewards. Though, weirdly enough, the Romance option in the Daughters of Artemis questline is actually a🉐 net loss as sparing Daphnae because you love her causes her to attack you along with the rest of the DoA. Plus, you don't get your crew theme! It's a rarity among the romance options and felt like a weird turn for the end of such a long questline.
4 🧔 Daphnae Found Hꦆer Own Killer
It doesn't occur to most players until the end of the quest, if at all, but Daphnae was actually searching for her own killer her entire life. Remember, she asks the player character to take over for her by killing her after we hunted all the Legendary Beasts. So that means her search to find someone who could hunt them all was the same search to find her successor. In fact, she states befor✨e her Trial that once these animals appeared, it was a sign from Artemis that her successor was walking around somewhere in this world. Still, it is sort of an assisted suicide, r💧ight?
3 The Artemis Set Works Liღke Daughter ꦏOf Artemis Cosplay
There are a number ofജ different gears in the game that change more vis✃ually than one would expect. For example, all the "hunter" chest pieces in the game actually cover the player's entire body with red-paint patterns.
But, did you know that this type of body paint is very similar to what the Daughters of Artemis wear as well? Players might not realize it since the DoA they see most is Daphnae who has no paint on, but a ton ❀of them are sporting the different types of face paint. In fact, the Master Artemis armor we receive from turning in many of the Legendary pelts has it as well, confirming that painting themselves is part of their daily routine.
2 ꧒ Alexios Can Become Their Leader Too
Here are a couple of facts that were obvious about the DoA as soon as we met them. First off, they're hunters that use bows and animal companions. Secondly, th𓂃ey're legendary warriors and followers of Artemis. And third, they're all female. Yes, they're called the Daughters of Artemis because all of their followers use the bow like Artemis and are female like Artemis, it's a tad on the nose. So why is it that Alexios can become their leader? We understand that changing the outcome of this quest based on the gender of the player character would be a big askꩵ, but not even an extra cutscene explaining it?
1 Clearing Out Camps ꧒Full Of Them Has No Consequences 🐠
Lastly, we do want to mention that players don't need to worry at all about killing the DoA before finishing the quest. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:AC: Odyssey is insanely long, so this quest was meant to last through most of the game anyway. Clearing out Lamia Village in Malis or the Huntress Village on Chios doesn't impact the Daughters of Artemis questline at all. You can come back to it 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:after slaying a literal Minotaur and pretend like a big bull is so unbelievable. Does it feelꦛ odd slaying them once you're their leader? Yes. Does that game really care? Not a🦩t all.
