In 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, one of the most interesting side quests involves hunting down creatures from Greek mythology and bringing back trophies for the Daughters of Artemis. There are eight in total, and the Erymanthian Boar is arguably one of the toughest! Thankfully, this guide lays out all the details you need in order to take it down for good.
Where To Find The Erymanthian Boar
This creature is named after its home: the Erymanthos Foothills. You'll find it in the western 💯part of that region.
Pre-Fight Preparation
The Erymanthian Boar's unique mechanic is that it releases a poisonous gas cloud that not only damages you while in the air but also settles on the grou💜nd and remains for the duration of the fight. The arena isn't very large to begin with, so this mechanic is a real pain.
Unlike the other Legendary Boar you need to fight, this one doesn't have additional mobs to swoop in and help it out. However, just to be safe, do a scan of the nearby area before activಌating the fight. There are bears here that might get aggroed while you're in combat, and that's a paꩲin to deal with. Kill any that are too close to the Boar's zone before you take it on.
The stats you want 𓂃out of your weapons and ar💫mor will depend on the combat strategy you choose. However, we do have a few general suggestions:
- Go all-in on hunter or warrior damage, not both
- Anything which improves your Adrenaline and allows you to get out more abilities (like the Pegasos Set, which gives "+50% Adrenaline on Dodge") is very useful
- There are a number of weapons and armors that will give you increased damage to animals - even if you don't make one of those a part of your main set, you could equip it as a secondary weapon
Combat Strategy: Mercenaries For Backup
In Assassin's Creed Odyssey🌊, there's a system that tracks how much of an annoyance you've been in ancient Greece. If you've been particularly naughty, your enemies wiꦏll place bounties on you and Mercenaries will start to hunt you.
Some players like to take on big bosses like this by purposefully getting a few mercenaries to hunt them, and then leading the mercenaries to the boss. When you engage the boar, the Mercenaries will engage it too (be s෴ure to save beforehand in case it takes a couple of tries). It is a huge boon to have some backup so that the Boar isn't focused on you exclusively.
While the Mercenaries might still attack you once in a while, the gain is well worth that annoyance. You✃ ༒can actually stop that, however, by paying off the bounties once they have engaged the Boar.
Useful Abilities
- Second Wind (Warrior) - allows you to refill your health and the second upgrade will remove poison effects if you stumble into a puddle
- Battlecry of Ares (Warrior) - can be combined with other skills to do massive damage
- Ring of Chaos (Warrior) - allows you to stun everyone if you get in a tricky situation
- Weapons Master (Warrior) - increases your warrior damage, as well as critical hit chance and combo finisher damage after a few upgrades
- Gear Master (Warrior) - increases your armor, decreasing the damage you take
- Slow Time (Assassin) - slows time for a short period
Combat Strategy: The Mobile Archer
Some players adore using their bow and arrows to kill Legendary Animals since it keeps them mobile during the fight and further away from the danger. This is especially crucial for the Erymanthian Boar, giv൲en his poison cloud mechanic. However, at a distance with your bow, it's ♚much easier to keep an eye on where those puddles are and to keep out of them when they're first released.
Useful Abilities
- Sparta Kick (Warrior) - helps to keep the enemy away from you if it gets too close
- Second Wind (Warrior) - allows you to refill your health
- Battlecry of Ares (Warrior) - can be combined with other skills to do massive damage
- Gear Master (Warrior) - increases your armor, decreasing the damage you take
- Slow Time (Assassin) - slows time and the ability enhancement increases headshot damage
- Call to Arms (Assassin) - another way to distract the boar and avoid its aggro
- Arrow Master (Hunter) - allows you to use arrows with effects
- Beast Master (Hunter) - a tamed animal can keep aggro off of you while you shoot
- Spread Shot (Hunter) - the boar is large, so a spread of arrows can still hit him more than once
- Predator Shot (Hunter) - slow motion shot allows you to guarantee a headshot
Combat Strategy: Classic Spartan
Of course, there's always the direct route. Though you'll want to ensure you've got enough armor to take the hits, it's totally viable to face the beast head-on. If you play the fight out this way, you'll spend most of your time popping off abilities one after another and then waiting for your☂ adrenaline to regenerate. You just need to be careful to avoid the poisoned parts of the arena as you run circles.
Useful Abilities
