Some recent rumors are suggesting the eagerly awaited new installment of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Assassin's Creed series will have a single playable character - only a male this time - and a Danish Viking at that. Although Ubisoft hasn't revealed anything yet, the game is supposedly called Assassin's Creed: Ragnarok and will be set in the early 1000s on th𒀰e maps of Scandinavia and parts of the British I☂sles.
These rumors also allege that the main political theme is in the Saxon Kingdoms and centers around the Norse conversion to Christianity. Apparently, Darby McDevitt (one of the creative scriptwriters at Ubisoft), is doing a large partไ of this game, which translates into him squeezing as much Irish history and notable figures in as he could. Interestingly, the writer even has a game character named after him: Christopher Darby. An employee at Abstergo Entertainment, fictional Darby pitched the idea of the Irish war for independence as a possible time period for exploitation via Animus products - showing the same interest in Ireland as his real world counterpart.
First posted on , the anonymous source claims that the rumors come from a dev working on the game. They mention quests in Ireland and Norway, with the former evolving into Celtic folklore mysteries after a search for missing children while the latter has the protagonist climbing a mountain and seeing an apparition of Odin. This apparition ties in neatly with previous rumors of players "168澳洲幸运5开奖网:facing the gods" in Asgard. The time period - early 1000s - seems to remove all doubt about the game not being about the First Civilization, as we noted i🍒n our previous article.
What actually seems to bother the fans is how assassins fit in with these kinds of details. Odyssey did not feature assassins - except in the title of the game - so fans are rightfully wary that the new title might follow in its footsteps. Since the order was only established less than half a century ago - during the events of Assassin's Creed Origins, as the title might imply - there was no sense in adding them to Odyssey. But with Ragnarok rum💞ored to take place a millennia after the birth of the order, they may well return.
Another detail that doesn't fit in quite as neatly as people would like is the rumor that you will only be able to play a male protagonist. Back in September 2018, Ubisoft game director Scott Phillips said all future games in the franchise will include gender selection: "I don't know why we would go back. We should continue pushing in this direction, bring in more players, more fans to enjoy this experience and make it their own experience," he said. Whether that's only true for Ubisoft Quebec - the studio behind Brotherhood, Syndicate and Odyssey - or the company as a whole is still up for debate.
What remains true, however, is the fact that it is getting increasingly difficult to wait for Ubisoft to finally🐻 reveal the next game (so we can🍌 count how many things we got right, of course).
