When you are completing the quest called Adorning the Adored you will be asked to choose a design for the shield. You have a choice between wisdom, strengtꦇh, and determination, but your decꩵision has no bearing on the story.

When in Asgard you will have the choice of Freyja, Ty🌜r, 🐠or Thor to fight beside you in battle. This choice has no bearing on the outcome and is really just for fans of Norse mythology who would find it incredible to fight beside one of these legends.
