As these are more recent discoveries, they couldn't make it onto the original version of this list. So, we thought the piece was due for an update and have added several more interesting details.
13 Eivor Reacts To Cold Weather 🔜
As Eivor grew up in Norway, they should be used to cold temperatures. But the protagonist hasn't developed a complete immunity.
You can witness this if you༺ leave an idle Eivor in a snowy area without many clothes.ꦆ They rub their hands together, shiver, move around to warm up, and try to cover up their bodies, which are all things the average real person would do if they had no option but to stay in the cold.
12 ꩲ Eivor Collects Arrows From Their Shield
Throughout the game, enemies spend a lot of time firing arrows at poor Eivor. One of the best ways to defend against the bowmen is to use a shield. Once s🌜ome arrows are stuck in the shield, the protagonist grabs them and puts them in their quiver.
It's a clever little detail that actually impacts gameplay as you're able to use these newly acquired arrows with some of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the game's best bows. Plus, the action p♋roves the reso𓄧urcefulness of the Viking.
11 Face Coverings Impact Eivor's Speech
There are plenty of different types of clothing options for Eivor in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Some of the most visually appealing ones are face masks. Yet, when Eivor covers their mouth, their words become audibly more muffled.
Thankfully, you and everyone they're talking to can still understand what the protagonist is saying, so it doesn't affect gameplay. It's just an incredible detail that the developers have included that adds a bit of realism to the game.
10 Eivor 🐈Is Canonically Female ꦰ
Just like how Odyssey's canonical representation was Kassandra, Valhalla's is the female Eivor. Since the release, there have been multiple clues within the game and associated comic that confirm that female Eivor is the "historically" canon gender. The biggest piece of proof is a letter addressed to Eivor that specifies her last name is Varinsdottir, even while playing as male.
In Norse culture, it was common practice to give children a last name based on the name of their patriarch, in this case, Varin. So, as Eivor is Varin's daughter, her surname is Varinsdottir. If male Eivor was the canon gender, the name would have been Varinson.
9 Bꦇoth Eivors Have A Preferred Weapon
In promotional art and cutscenes, it turns out that each Eivor has a weapon preference. In-game, both Eivors almost always use a shield and a one-handed ax during ꧃cuts🌟cenes.
However, in promotional art, male Eivor is usually shown with a two-handed Dane Axe while female Eivor dual-wields some handaxes. Obviously, this doesn't really matter much, but it's a nice little detail regardless. And it's cool to know that both versions of the protagonist have an affinity for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:great weapons.
8 Eivor Lets Synin Eat The Rem🧸ains
Eivor has always had a supernatural connection with nature, animals in particular, and their connection to wolves and ravens is extra strong. Now, obviously, there are 𝔉some lore implications there, but it will not be spoiled whether these implications are right or wrong.
In any case, with Eivor's raven, in particular, there are numerous times throughout the campaign where Eivor hints at the fact that they let Synin eat corpses in order to feed it. This isn't ever shown in-game, but the way Eivor talks about it in the past tense as if they've already fed remains to the crow is a bit disturbing.
7 The Hidden 🐎Blade In This Game Is Fancy For A Reason
Early on in Valhalla, Eivor meets two "Hidden Ones" who traveled around the world with Sigurd, named Hytham and Basim. And, also very early on, Basim makes it a point to gift a certain object to Eivor, much to the dismay of Hytham. This item is of course the hidden blade, the weapon most commonly associated with Assassin's Creed. As this was still pre-13th Century, Assassins of this period still cut off their ring finger so that the Hidden Blade might pass through.
This Hidden Blade looks incredibly fancy, especially for something that should be "hidden." But, there's an easy explanation for this, and it's the fact that it was always intended to be a gift. Basim didn't know that Eivor would actually keep it on, and so he designed it to work as both a weapon and a decoration.
6 ✤ ꦬ Eivor Is A Very Faithful Partner
In other Assassin's Creed games, the main character is a bit of a flirt. Ezio, for instance, spent most of his life chasing women and didn't settle down romantically until he was in his 50s. However, with Odyssey, actual romanceable characters were added into the game, and the protagonist had a lot of different people they could bond with.
Now, with The Legacy Of The First Blade DLC for Odyssey, there was a forced canon romance, but even then, players could still go out and sleep with whoever they wanted. Conversely, in Valhalla, Eivor is a bit more committed. Players can 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:ꦡromance a bunch of different characters in Ravensthorpe, but once a relationship is established, Eivor doesn't cheat.

Meditating has become a staple of open-world games in general, including the Assassin's Creed titles. The most notable franchise to pioneer explaining this mechanic was The Witcher series, but it has been in a ton of the AC games, too. With Bayek, the feature had story implications since the character suffered from insomnia due to nightmares and promised himself he wouldn't sleep until his revenge was over.
However, there was no such implication for Kassandra/Alexios. Well, Eivor has one, and it actually has historical ties. It turns out that Vikings were pretty spiritual people and meditated quite often, usually before battles. Valhalla makes sure to mention this custom multiple times as it follows the series tradition of being fairly historically accurate - but there are s𝄹ome𝓀 inaccuracies, too.
4 Eivor And Synin Can Share Their Sighಞt 𝕴
Obviously, Synin being a raven and not an eagle is a poke at the classic Eagle Vision that is a staple for the AC franchise, but it also has a connection to Eivor the character because of how ravens are seen in Norse mythos. Also, the way Eagle Vision works contextually within the world of Assassin's Creed is complex, but all people need to know is that Bayek and Kassandra didn't have the standard version that previous assassins had.
Instead, they were able to share sight with their avian friends. Eivor is the first a⭕ssassin (so far) to be shown with both the standard Eagle Vision and the variation that Bayek and Kassandra are known for.
