Back in August, I had the opportunity to try out the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:beta for Astellia Online, and I was pleasantly surprised by the promise that the MMO showed. Maybe it was the fact that WoW Classic was mere days away from dropping, which made a new, self-proclaimed "traditional" MMO so enticing. Sure, there were some issues in the beta, such as choppy visuals and overall buggy audio and cut-scene sequences, but that was to be expected. I was still over-the-moon excited for the full release of Astellia Online, and am happ♛y to have had my expecꦓtations met with solid and captivating gameplay.
Much like I when I first dove into the lands of Azeroth in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade all those years ago, Astellia Online has me absolutely hooked.
Who Needs a Story, Anyways?
The beginning of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Astellia Online begins with its starting tutorial in the same manner as in the closed beta, but the story ve🃏ers off from there. The world of Astellia is brimming with whimsical fantasy and charm, with cut-scenes that are incredibly detailed and visually captivating, and musical scores that sweep you up into its magical fantasy world.
I want to care about the story and the overall lore found throughout Astellia because of those facts, but I just can’t. In that sense, it’s basically like every other MMO I’ve played. While I can appreciate the deep lore that was certainly not an easy task to create, it’s the gameplay and character progression that I’m most interested in. Thankfully, Astellia Online has me covered.
All Play Styles Are Welcomed
I’ve mentioned previously that when it comes to MMOs, I’m the most casual of casual players. Unless I’m playing with someone I know, I’m usually the guy who’s running around by himself, declining group and guild invitations because even though I enjoy playing among other real-life players and partaking (usually losing) in the random PvP encounters that can occur, my enjoyment is had by being a lone wolf. Soloing quests and dungeons has always been my bread and butter. Of course, Astellia Online provides ample opportunities to group up with friends and other players. However, I feel like Astellia Online is a game that works perfectly for my style of play tha𒀰nks to the Astels that accompany players throughout their journey.
Astellia Online’s companion system builds upon similar systems, such as Guild Wars, which sees Astels being used for assisting players during their adventures, whether those be through questing or even during PvP matches. Each Astel has its own unique set of traits - in🦩cluding tanking, healing, DPS, and more - that can help players out depending on their needs. Unsurprisingly, Astels have some pretty deep lore themselves, for those interested in that aspect of MMOs.
Dungeons And Endgame
Dungeons in Astellia Online are fun, though veterans of the genre will be very familiar with the overall mechanics and questing dynamics of the dungeons. There’s nothing really new or groundbreaking when it comes to the game's dungeons, but really, there doesn’t need to be. The traditional way that dungeons and bosses are set up bring back fond memories of the early days of MMOs, which is part of the charm that Astellia Online provides.
Of course, dungeons will play a major role in endgame content, especially in regards to leveling your gear and𒉰 your Astels. Again, the nice thing about dungeons is the fact that they feature a variety of ways to experience them based on your style of play, such as Solo, Party, and Legendary versions. I’m sure I’ll eventually have to hop into a party at some point, but slowly easing into the dungeon system while I figure out my character has been a welcomed component that doesn’t limit what I have been able to experience in the game so far.
See You In Astellia
It would be easy to say that Astellia Online doesn’t bring enough to the genre to make it꧟ worthwhile for veteran MMO players to pick up. Having been a Korean game that ha🥂s been Westernized no doubt brings a generic sort of connotation with the game, but those feelings are short-sighted and ill-informed.
Astellia Online provides a genuine feeling of sincerit𓄧y in allowing you to play however you want. In my first week of playing, I honestly feel like I haven’t even scratched the surface, and have a ton of content to explore. The intricacies of character progression, endgame content, and PvP challenges are enough to get any veteran MMO player’s blood pumping. Newbies the to game (and the genre overall) can ease in as they see fit, while taking advantage of the▨ game’s quality of life functions, such as auto-running to the exact location of your next quest with a single click.
Astellia Online may not have the draw that World of Warcraft Classic currently has, but if you’re on the edge of deciding whether🐬 or not to pick it up 🌌- it is pay-to-play, after all - my suggestion would be to dive in headfirst. See you in Astellia.

Astellia
- Top Critic Avg: 56/100
Astellia was an MMORPG originally launched in 2018 in Korea, and developed by Studio 8. It cameℱ to the West in summer 2019, running into trouble before being reborn as Astellia Royal in 2021. Service ceased later that year, with an NFT-based version also meeting the same fate.
