RFRSH Entertainment to let go of their 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Counter-Strike and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:League of Legends teams, as reported by . This move comes after intense criticism of the organization’s ownership of the Danish CS:GO team, Astralis.
The Danish eSports organization will be focusing more on their own brand of CS:GO tournaments known as BLAST Pro Series, with a visit to Los Angeles set to begin on Saturday. The organization's ownership over Astralis— one of the most decorated Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams of all time— has come under fire in recent months, with many fans and community figures stating that a company that runs events shouldn't be allowed to own a team as well. Astralis, along with a number of other top CS:GO teams, are contracted to attend a specific amount of BLAST events throughout th📖e year. Astralis will not be attending the tournament in Los Angeles this weekeꦜnd.
RFRSH Entertainment and its teams have already been separated, the two teams now operating under the temporary name of "RFRSH Teams." RFRSH CEO Nikolaj Nyholm RFRSH will now focus "on BLAST Pওro Series and other BLAST properties." The company is still connected to the esports teams in some way, as a select few important people do continue to have influence in both ventures. This will change as the two companies complete their split, and in the near future these few people will not be allowed involvement in both sides.
The team♚s being separated from RFRSH Entertainment alongside Astralis also include Origen, a highly successful European League of Legends team . RFRSH is said to be expecting plenty of outside investment in♕ the company, especially due to the high status of the teams.
As stated previously, there has been extensive discussion surrounding RFRSH and the potential conflict of interest stemming from their ownership of Astrali𝕴s as well as BLAST Pro Series. Despite this, they insist that this move has been expected for years. RFRSH CEO Nyholm was again quoted saying that "a tournament operator and a team should not have common ownership."
The two companies are expected to have completed the separation in time for the StarLadder CS:GO Mꩵajor in Berlin, which begins in late August. 🤪As of right now, Astralis is not expected at any tournaments until that time, while Origen is competing in the LEC Summer Split, and currently tied in the standings at fourth place.
