168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Astro’s Playroom is the best 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 5 game. There. I said it. When I bought a PS5 and downloaded my first games – mostly big exclusives like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Spider-Man and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:God of War that I’d missed by not owning a PS4 &💙ndash; it wasn’t any of the showy prestige Sony games that represented the modern PlayStation brand, but Astro’s Playroom that sold me on the console.

Spider-Man was a lark, and it looked great with the next-gen update. While the gameplay wasn’t particularly groundbreaking, it was fun. I completed the whole game, went back for the collectibles, and moved straight🥀 onto Miles Morales, which was just as good.

PlayStation 5 playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

I played Bugsnax and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the former predictably turning out to be more fun than the latter, but neither were console exclusives nor bona fide system sellers. The next year was barren for PS5 releases with just Returnal and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart leading🌼 the line (albeit doing so very competently), and I ended up selling the console.

Nobody needs two current-gen consoles sitting under their telly, so I picked the one with Game Pass on it. There’s little technological difference between the two, exclusives for both are few and far between, so I opted to go with the back catalogue of Microsoft’s subscription service, just in case I got a hankering to play the entire Yakuza franchise or something. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Good thing I did, too…

Since then, I’ve rarely felt I’ve been missing out on what the PS5 has to offer. I briefly got caught up in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 16 hype, but that dissipated quickly and I didn’t have time to play it anyway. However, a new Astro Bot game has me hankering for a DualSense in ♏hand and chants of “C… P… UUUUU…&🌳rdquo; echoing in my earholes.

how to turn off a ps5 controller, console, and astro from astro's playroom

Astro’s Playroom was my first experience of Team Asobi’s magical mascots, and what an introduction it was. The platforming playground is a meta funfair that drags you t💜hrough the 𓂃bowels of the console you’re playing on – what better way to get players excited about their new purchase? But it was deep, too. From designing levels around core parts of PlayStation’s history, to creating a soundtrack that somehow makes the names of PC components feel deeply lyrical, the game is nothing short of a masterpiece.

In my year with the PS5, I never played another game that used the DualSense so brilliantly. The PS5 controller is a testament of engineering ingenuity, and too few games utilise it to its full potential. Sure, you feel a little tension as you swing on Spider-Man’s web, and it gets harder to sprint in FIFA when your players are tired (a criminally underrated use for the adaptive triggers because it’s implemented into an average sports game), but Astro’s Playroom has fun with the controller.

Astro’s Playroom was a tech demo, really. It was designed to show off everything that was great about the PS5. The problem was, the games that followed it didn’t live up to the magical experiences prophesied by the tiny robots. PlayStation’s first-party games focus so much on visual fidelity that they forget all the technology t💙hey have at their fingertips. They focus on cutscenes and storytelling – and do both exquisitely – and forget about gameplay. Worst of all, they often forget to have fun.

I understand that I’m in the minority here, but Sony’s games just haven’t done it for me this generation. Except for Astro’s Playroom. That’s why Astr😼o Bot, rather than any of the other exclusive blockbusters to appear on the console, has me checking the prices of second-hand PlayStations. I’m not going to pull the trigger (really what I ne🦄ed is a local friend who’s an ardent Sony gamer), but I’m going to have severe FOMO when September rolls around.

The fact that this little game is what tempts me to buy a PS5 is testament to the unbridled creativity of Team Asobi, and its feature-filled focus on gameplay. If you’ve read my articles before, you’ll know I love a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:gamey game, and Astro Bo🎃t looks to be exactly that. I’m gutted to be mis♌sing out.
