Jigsaw Piece

Astro Bot Feather Cluster

As you may have noticed in previous zones, there's one jigsaw piece that's not in any level at all, but randomly appears in the overworld map. A UFO will appear at various intervals with a jigsaw piece in tow, and if you crash into it, the jigsaw is yours. If it disappears before you get there, then the Astro Bot Platinum is out of reach forever🥃. Pac😼k it up, everybody.

Just kidding. Leave and come back, and the UFO will eventually reappear again.

Lost X Void

Astro Bot flying into the Lost Cross Void

As anyone who has held a PlayStation controller will know (which is anyone playing Astro Bot, as it's a🦄 PS exclusive), X comes after Triangle, Circle, and Square, which we've already played through. Again, there'sဣ not much to this level, but doing it unlocks four further levels, each with their own platforming challenges and bot to rescue.

Birdy Barrage

Astro Bot jumping in Birdy Barrage

Like the name suggests, this level involves a barrage of birdies. Learning their patterns so you can jump over them in time is key, but a great way to increase your odds is to add hang time with the laser jump. Just remember to keep moving forward when you do this on glass. At the end of the course, you can save Tekken's Kazuya Mishima bot from is peril.

Shocking Behaviour

Astro Bot avoiding mines in Shocking Behaviour

Here, you'll need to jump over a lot of electric mines with electro beams, and fittingly for this void, they're all arranged in an X shape. That means there is always a window to jump over or into, even if you need a little bit of trust and patience that the ice or glass will hold for half a second if you need that gap to open. If you avoid getting a buzz from the electricity, you can save a buzzing bot dressed as Buzz, the quiz host from the game Buzz.

Slowdown Showdown

Astro Bot jumping in slow motion in Slowdown Showdown

In this level, you'll be able to slow down time, but not the way you do in levels like Slo Mo Casino. Instead, you get an hourglass you can throw, meaning you need to plan when you're going to dash forward and throw the hourglass (at an enemy to break it) as you make your way through this course to rescue a bot (not even really that) who looks like the Rez avatar.

To The Beat

Astro Bot avoiding mines in To The Beat

Despite its name, To The Beat is not really a rhythm level. That is to say, the backgroun music has no real input on anything here. Each different obstacle moves to an easy to understand pattern, so you're often jumping where something is going to be (or to avoid where it's going to be) rather than where it is. The trickiest barrier is the birds at the end. Here, after jumping over the first birds, do not laser jump. Doing this will mean you can't avoid the second, higher row of birds, so you'll need to time it so that a single jump works. If you do this, you can rescue a bot that looks like Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear.

Retro Rampage 5

Astro Bot punching enemies in Retro Rampage 5

You'll need, again, to be on the lookout for smaller asteroids in the Feather Cluster here. As they appear, hit them all and the final Retro Rampage challenge will unlock. In this combat gauntlet, you'll have your froggy gloves, so keep a decent distance and rapid punch one enemy at a time to thin the field quickly. At the end, you will unlock a Taneo bot from Incredible Crisis.

Crumble Rumble 5

Astro Bot avoiding flames in Crumble Rumble 5

When you see a meteor in Feather Cluster, blast off into it to unlock Crumble Rumble 5. Here, you need to laser jump around the volcano to cause it to drop, but that's a lot harder when it's firing lava rocks at you. A good tip is to remember it doesn't matter how big the circle is - if you stay wide, it will take longer, but you can keep yourself safe much easier. You can also use the holes created by the volcano to your advantage. Do this and you'll rescue a bot dressed like Tony Hawk, the titular Pro Skater.

Djinny's Revenge

The Djinny powering up an attack in Astro Bot

Well, this is new. After completing Djinny of the Lamp, a special boss level will open up where you can take on a harder version of the Djinny boss fight. You'll need to dodge the things he throws while charging when he throws his hat in order to rescue an Alundra bot. For when mom says you have Zelda at home.
