Yesterday, Atlanta Reign's Andrej "babybay" Francisty announced his retirement from the Overwatch League. The hitscan specialist played three seasons in the league with the San Fr𒆙ancisco Shock and the Atlanta Reign before he hung up the jersey to pursue other outlets of his career. Through his time in the league, Babybay made a big impact on the league through his likable personality.

Anyone would be hard-pressed to find a bigger personality in the Overwatch League than Babybay. A colorful, charismatic character, he shined bright in a league that is generally subdued with its personalities. He stood out and did it with swagger. His time in the league saw a lot of ups and downs, but Babybay really came into his own 🌟this season, commanding a lot of playtime with stellar performances on McCre𒁏e and Ashe. He was an integral part of the confidence of the Reign during his time with the team.

The passion and drive just isn't there anymore and when that is lost, it beco⛎mes nearly impossible to continue putting so much effort and time into it. While he didn't say much about his future endeavors post-Overwatch League, he mentioned he will be streaming a lot more wh🐼ich is a perfect outlet for a large personality like Babybay.

The Atlanta Reign have a strong roster filled with top-tier damage dealers, but Babybay's offstage presence it what made him a special player in the league. The Reign have struggled to be consistent this year for a variety of rea♒sons, but Babybay stayed rather consistent. Though his Overwatch League days are over, his impact will be felt for years to come - 7 am memes and all.
