As with so many things in comic books, Stan Lee said it best. The answer to any ‘who would win’ question is always ‘whoever the writer wants to win’. There’s a suspension of disbelief with any story, and comic books ask for (and reward it) more than most. There’s a similar answer in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Spider-Man 2 to ‘why aren’t the Avengers here?’ - it’s because the writers didn&rsq🌞uo;t w🔴ant them to be.

Spider-Man 2 is a pretty great game. Its boss battles are narratively and mechanically linked, its pacing is tight, and its side activities are varied. You know what I never thought across the 50 hours I’ve spent playing it and replaying activities as the alternate 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Spider-Man? ‘Where is Iron Man?’. It♛’s not an Iron Man game. It’s a Spider-Man game. I got to b🌱e Spider-Man. The end.

Did any𝕴 of you really think, during that climactic final battle, that it would be so much better if Thor fixed things off screen so Miles had more time to prep his college essay? All of these complaints about the Avengers not showing up completely disregard the fact that their presence would make the game wor🌠se. They’re not there because they don’t need to be. It’s the same in comic books, movies, and TV shows. They tell the story they’re meant to tell.

Spider-Man has been an exception to the sales rule for Marvel's games recently. Maybe it's the one doing something right?

It’s not a particularly clever gotcha to point out that the hundreds of superheroes who exist in this world would crush any threat with ease if they all teamed up all of the time. Spider-Man 2 would not be improved by the presence of the Avengers, and so the Avengers a🍒ren’t in it. That’s all there is to it. If you actually think it would be better with the presence of all these extra heroes and aren’t just pointing it out a) to have silly fun or b) because you smell bad, then I&rsquoꦗ;m afraid you are too far gone in our modern IP culture and will struggle to ever understand stories at a level deeper than action figures.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:This game was made by I🦄nsomniac, not Dave F💜iloni. It doesn’t need a bunch of cameos to sustain itself. There’s also a very restrained approach here𒆙 that shows it doesn’t need crossovers to keep you interested - a few missions use unique mechanics, then toss them aside before they become boring. Not to mention how close the game plays Venom to its chest and the fact it resisted Green Goblin two games in a row now. I don’t think it’s a question of licensing and character availability so much as it is Insomniac saying ‘nah, we’re good, thanks’.

There are some voices who like a more sophisticated IP soup. French onion and Funko Pops. These voices who don’t want Captain Marvel to show up and rock everyone, they just want the street level heroes. Where’s Luke Cage when all this is going on? Here’s a better question - who gives a ****? I did not pick up a Spider-Man game to see h♈ow a C-tier hero who just happens to live in the same city is getting on. This is a story about Peter Parker and Miles Morales, not about every living boy in New York.

People will point out the buildings like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Wakandan Embassy, the Sanctorum, and most obviously, the Avengers Tower. But these make the city feel richer and more real, and put ♎you inside a Spider-Man comic. Fictionalising the city with these intertextual references to other comics heightens the focus on the Spideys, rather than taking it away.

It has long been a running joke t🦂hat the Avengers (and X-Men, Fantastic Four, Defenders, or just about any of the umpteenth teams in NYC) barely show up for anything in Spider-Man comics, and having their HQs present should not lead to this CinemaSiꦰns-style ‘well ackshully’ analysis of why the game doesn’t make logical sense based on decades of movies and comic books, when its internal logic and narrative justification for events has always been sound.

The Avengers Tower has been a significant feature of the map in all three Spider-Man games

That’s not to say Spider-Man will exist in a bubble forever. Both games have teased the eventual arrival of the Fantastic Four, and with Wolverine on the way from Insomniac the t🐼wo may briefly reference each other in the future. But these games need to remain Spider-Man games, rather than Meet Every Superhero Simulators.

You are simply playing the game wrong if you’re upset that a game called Spider-Man 2 has you play as two Spider-Men. You want life to be one big post credit sce🐟ne full of Easter Eggs and teases and Glup Shitto teaming up with Captain Bleepblor🔯p. Your ideas for Spider-Man a❀re bad and you should feel bad.
