Avowed was one of the many reasons why Xbox may have won the weekend at 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Summer Game Fest. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Even more has been revealed about Obsidian's next big adventure, including details on exactly how big it's going to be, its open zones and its layout being compared to the ones you can find in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Outer Worlds.

Avowed's game director Carrie Patel revealed more details about the game during today's Xbox Extended Showcase. When asked how big The Living Lands, the world in which Avowed is set, will be, Patel revealed it's comparable to the aforementioned Outer Worlds, and also 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Knights of the Old Republic 2.

“It is set up as a series of interconnected open zones that players can explore at their own pace,” Patel explained, perhaps easing the worriesജ of players who were hoping Avowed would be an open world experience. “You can invest in discovering every nook and cranny in the world, discovering every secret, finding every sidequest, meeting every character - or you can have a much more fo𓄧cused experience.”

“It's really up to players and how much time they want to spend in The Living Lands, but I'm hopeful they're going to spend a lot of time with us once Avowed releases.” As is the case with the two games Patel has compared Avowed to already, it sounds like how long Obsidian's next big game takes to finish depends on the kind of player you are. If you focus on the main quest and nothing else, you won't see everything it has to offer.

If you're the kind of player who enjoys completing every side quest and seeking out absolutely everything you can possibly do, Avowed may well end up being a game you spend a lot of time with in 2024. There will be plenty of characters for you to get acquainted with, as Patel mentioned companions who will join you on your quest. Among those companions will be Kai, the blue fella narrating the trailer above. He seems okay, but it'll take more than that to make us all forget about 2023's sidekick of the year, Sidon.

Avowed might not feel like it has a huge amount of pressure on it yet, but that will likely change as we hit the end of 2023 and turn the corner into 2024. Right now, all of the Xbox pressure is on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Starfield. After Starfield launches in September, Avowed will be the next big game on the Xbox slate. Wild to say since it doesn't have a firm release date yet, and as much as Starfield will likely occupy a lot of our time during the final four months of 2023 and beyond, the video game wheel never stops turning.
