25 Plant Life 𒀰 ﷽

via Fallout Wiki - Fandom

Unsettling locations within the Fallout universe are nothing new. However, there are hidden stories within these locations that the average gamer won't find. For instance, in Fallout: New Vegas, there🔴 is a location known as Vault 22. In this vault🗹, you have to battle living, monstrous plants and creatures.

What will freak you out to know is that these creatures were once people.

Yes, in Vault 22 the experiments on plants turned the plants to life, and their human victims were transformed into monster plant people. The scientists that lived in꧂ Vault 22 were attempting to extend the lifespan of plant life and find ways for plants to survive underground to help improve the lives of the vault dwellers. However, as with all experiments, the plants rebelled, became sentient, and started to eliminate and transform all the humans in the vault, making them their foot soldiers. Yikes.

24 No Children Allowed 💦

via YouTube (Ultimate7Maker)

In the game, you will notice there are very few children around. Originally the developers planned to bring back Fallout 3's perk Chꦉild at Heart, but because of the lack of children, the perk ended up remaining a ghost code that was never used.

My question is this: where are the kids?

Why were there an abundance of chi🌠ldren in the Capital Wasteland but the New Vegas area is lacking any children, (other than the kids chasing rats in Freeside or the kid advertising grown-up entertainment in New Vegas). Did the children simply stay hidden safely away from the violence and chaos of the Mojave Wasteland? Perhaps they were in the one area of the map that wasn't readily able to be explored by the player. However, the more shocking and disturbing theory is that most of the children in the wasteland w🐼ere either eliminated or enslaved by the legion. Not a pleasant thought.

23 🦄 The Marked Men

via YouTube (Twothless)

In the DLC Lonesome Road, you explore the Divide. It's the site of a much talked about battle between NCR troops and Caesar's Legion. However, not all gamers learn the true story of the Divide's Marked Men. These creatures were once the soldiers of both factions during the battle. However, during the battle a series of underground missiles prematurely exploded, sealing✃ both sides of the Divide. The subsequent dust storms peeled the skin off of the soldiers while also exposing them to severe radiation, turning them into skinless ghouls with a hatred for everyone. Can you imagine not only the physical searing pain that they endured but the psychological trauma that the never-ending pain caused these soldiers? The line between enemy and friend dissolved during that storm and these former men became the very definition of monsters, on a path of blood and destruction that would never be satiated.

22 Ghosts

via Nexus Mods

Some of the enemies you as a player face in Fallout: New Vegas become so popular and memorable that they become as important as the characters themselves. The DLC Dead Money in the game introd𝓡uces a new creature known simply as Ghosts or ghost people. These creatures attack anyone going to the Sierra Madre and drag victims into a large poisonous cloud known as The Cloud.

Well, the story of how these creatures came to be is tragic and unsettling.

When the bombs fell, people in tꦡhe hotel area put on hazmat suits to protect themselves. However the Cloud that came into the area sealed the people into the suits permanently, and the suits themselves weren't enough to protect them from the C🍰loud's effects, and so the people inside these suits are shells of their former selves, living only to attack and drag others into the Cloud with them.

21 Lottery Win 𓄧

via Geekin' Out: CHALLENGE MODE

The first few missions in the Fallout: New Vegas i𒐪ntroduce you to a disturbing first look at Caesar's Legion and their bloody way of doing things. Their thirst for carnage and conquest knows no bounds, and in the small town of Nipton you get a first hand look at just how destructive they can be. In going to Nipton in the game, you meet a man who proclaims he won the lottery. Upon further inspection, the "lottery" was a contest held by the Legion who raided the town an🐷d ended everyone except the lottery winners, who were spared to spread the word of the Legion's conquest.

This is a reference to Shirley Jackson's The Lottery, a short story with a similar outcome.

The only difference is that in the game the townspeople were slaughtered and some were crucified, while the winner in the short story was stoned to death. It's a very dark twist on a classic tale⛎.

20 Ghost Suit 🌌

via Fallout Wiki - Fandom

Can you imagine being forced to perish inside of a living suit, and then have your body be used to become a weapon of pure destruction? In the game, there is an enemy called Y-17 that is a harness suit that brings the user back to home base in the event the user has passed away. However, the machine is malfunctioning and doesn't know if the user is deceased or where it's home base is, and so it wanders the wasteland. While fighting this enemy the machine will start to say, "Hey who turned out the lights?" This is a Doctor Who reference, in which they found a society that used similar suits and kept the user alive after passing using a link known as ghost ꦗd𒁏ata, and the first person to perish would be brought back and say this line, as the helmet lights were turned off.

19 🅠 Mort💙imer The Eater

via Fallout Wiki - Fandom

Eating people isn't something new to the world of Fallout. Sadly, your character can become a people eater themselves, partaking in the disgusting act and gaining new abilities because of it. However you aren't the only ﷺone who can become this. In fact, there is an entire secret society in New Vegas dedicated to the vile act, and it's all spearheaded by one man named Mortimer. Taking a cue from Hannibal Lecter himself, the White Glove society in the game who runs the Ultra-Luxe casino is known for their e💜xquisite taste in food.

However, one of the society members named Mortimer has a secret.

It turns out that the casino once was known to serve human meat, and he may approach y✨ou to help him bring back the delicacy. Ew. That is utterly disgusting as you must choose whether to help bring back the act to the casino or stop him before it's too late.

18 ✱ 🃏 Grim Expectations

via Fallout Wiki - Fandom

The harsh reality of a post-apocalyptic world can have a strange and tragic effect on the survivors left behind. The world is grim and often seems hopeless. It can drive people to consider the most devastating of options, but sometimes the results weꦡ expect are not the ones we are given. Instead, we come face to face with our worst nightmares. Within the game, there is a location known as The Old Nuclear Test Site. While it's creepy with the influx of ghouls, the reason this location is so disturbing to explore is that within this area you discover a tragic and unsettling tale of a young girl who went to the site hoping to become a ghoul. What drove her to become a ghoul and why she would think this was a good option for her is beyond me. However, her journey ended tragically in her demise.

17 The Biggest Moment Of All ♓Time

via Nexus Mods

There are a lot of powerful weapons players can equip their characters with when exploring the wasteland. From ancient swords to handguns and even missile launchers, these weapo𝐆ns are used to defend yourself against the creatures and enemies hunting you down in the wasteland. However, there are two weapons that are more powerful than all of those other weapons combined. That's because they don't fire normal ammo. No, they utilize the power of the most feared weapon in the world, and that's nuclear warheads. The weapons Fat Man and Little Boy in the game are direct references to the names of the bombs th🔴at fell on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan during WWII. In the Japanese version of the game the Fat Man is changed to Nuka Launcher but the Little Boy stays the same. This was done as to not offend the Japanese people after the attacks they suffered during the war.

16 💞 Meat Of ꧟Champions

via YouTube (oskari)

Now right off🦹 the bat, this name doesn't sound good. In fact it sounds like some awful Norse meal they used to make during the age of Vikings. However this isn't the case. In fact the name "meat o🎃f champions" has a much darker meaning behind it. This is the name of a perk from within the game. It is an unfamiliar perk, where you get bonus stats by devouring the heads of New Vegas.

That means eliminating and eating Mr. House, The King, Caesar, and President Kimballl.

That's incredibly disturbing. Now before you decide to do this, just know that doing so will cause you to fail most of t🅰he main missions in the game. It's also a vile act that will make your character incredibly dark and cruel. So before you go out eating people, take a minute to think it through before you start eating an Elvis impersonator.
