You know the first 90 minutes of Titanic? Jack and Rose are falling in love, standing on the prow of the ship as Celine Dion squeezes tears from your ducts like toothpaste from a tube? It’s joyous and emotional and transcendent, but you know what’s coming next. You know the story of the Titanic doesn't end happy. That’s how I feel right now with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Baldur’s Gate 3. I’m having the time of my꧒ life, but there’s an iceberg on 𝐆the horizon.
That may be dramatic, but everything I’ve heard is that, while the game’s third act is very good, it’s buggy as hell. I mostly hear that from friends and online players who finished the game closer to launch. But, even now I’m seeing con෴flicting reports on how 🍃stable the game’s final act is. As the world’s number one Video Game City Enjoyer, I’m extremely excited t✨o see Baldur’s Gate itself, so I really want to get there, even if the bugs are going to hurt my playthrough. In that way, it’s more like the iceberg from the movie Titanic than the iceberg that hit the real Titanic. It may be an obstacle, but running into it kicks off the best part of the movie.
Avoiding the third act hasn’t been too hard to do until now. B🥂aldur’s Gate 3 is long, and you can easily spend as long in each act as you would spend playing another game to completion. Case in point, I’m 46 hours in and only midway through Act 2. There are things I left unfinished in Act 1, too, so if I need to kill some time before I get the okay that the bugs have been largely ironed out, I’ve got plenty of material to work through.
I’ve also been lucky to have three big games to review since Baldur’s Gate 3 launched. I only got to play a smidge of the game before 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Immortals of Aveum and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sea of Stars showed up in my inbox, then those games dominated my schedule for the next few weeks. Then there was a break for a couple weeks, in which I was role-playing up a storm in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Starfield. And then 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty used its upgraded skill tree to dash and slash ♏its way into my life, sending my Baldur’s Gate pals to the backseat 🐓again.
Now that I’m finally a full-time resident of Faerun, I’m eager to see that expansive third act, but I'm worried about making the leap. I have other things that I can use to delay the gratification until it’s conclusively in good shape. My wife and I started a co-op playthrough on PS5 over the weekend. I’m not going to be playing with her all the time, but once I hit the act three mark, I can switch over to mainly playing co-op. Of course, there are all the other games I want to play before the end of the year, too. I still haven’t finished 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dead Space, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Metroid Prime Remastered, Pikmin 4, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Starfield, and thereꦏ are many more games coming down the pipe𝓀 before the end of the year.
In my heart of hearts, I know that Baldur's Gate 3 is what I want to be playing. I guess I worry that, if I leave it to finish later, I'll end up losing it forever — like Rose sitting safely on the door while Jack freezes in the water.
