Dealing with the hag in Baldur's Gate 3 requires foresight and planning, and here are a few tips to get you🌸 started with this ordeal.

Auntie Ethel, otherwise known as the Hag who resides in the teahouse to the west of the Emerald Grove, has an interesting living arrangement. A house that gives way to a cave🦄 system and a secondary lair, there are some interesting concoctions to be found at the end.

All Of Auntie Ethel's Hag Potion Effects

After dealing with Auntie Ethel and progressing into her Hag lair at the very end of her domain, you'll be presented with a room full of go💫odies. Along with the more obvious rewards, suc꧑h as the Bitter Divorce wand and the Staff of Crones, there's a whole slew of oddly-named potions.

These potiꦆons all have unique effects, many of them entirely negative. The table below details the potions.

Potion	Effect
	Grants the drinkerಌ the Bite ability, which deals 2d4 piercing damage to a target in melee range. Upon a long rest, this🗹 ability is lost.
	Grants the drinker +2 Strength. After a long ꦫrest, this boost is replaced by a -1 to Strength.
	The drinker becomes Haemorrhaged🐎 and takes 1d6 piercing damage per turn for four turns. The drinker is also frightened for the 🌸duration.
	Gives the drinker disadvantage on Wisdom saving throws until they next take a Lon൲g Rest.
	Gives the drinker resistance to poison damage until they next tak💜e a 🦋Long Rest.
	The drinker becomes Insane for four t♔urns. You will be unable to control them, and they will attack indiscriminately.
	The drinker suffers -2 to their Armour Class and loses their Reaction for✅ 50 turns.
	Gives the drinker -♍1 to Wisdom until they next take a Long Rest.
	Gives the drinker disadvantage on all Attack Rolls 𝓀and Ability Checks for three tu👍rns.
	When the drinker next ta🅺kes a Long Rest, they will take 3d6 psychic damage whe🐬n waking up.

Unlike many of the potions in the game, you cannot throw these at enemies to give them the negative effects.

As so many of these potions have no use other than to experiment with, they are really not that useful to pick up - they don't even sell for much gold. The only ones that may provide any semblance of usefulness are the Heart of Stone, Broken Promises, and A Mother's Loathing potions, and those are situational at best.

How To Remove Curses

Some of the potions listed above have effects that are considered 'Curses'. Sometimes they can be removed by taking a Long Rest, but otherwise can be removed with the spell. This can be learned by Clerics, Paladins, Wizards, and Warlocks and is a Level 3 spell.
