Best Magic Items To Give Gale
While there is no hard and fast rule on which items you should give Gale, there are recommendations for different classes and builds. Depending on how you want to build your characters, you may want to give Gale items you can't use. For example, you may come across armor he can consume, but 𒁏no one in your party can use.
If you're worried about needing items later, rest assured that most Uncommon items are safe to give Gale. While the equipment might be good at early levels, you're sure to come across better artifacts later.

He may even leave the party and resent you for forcing his hand. A handful of magical artifacts isn't hard to part with, especially when you can't use them all at once.
If you collect too many items during your travels, hand them off to party members or Gale himself. Remember to save the best items for yourself and give Gale items you don't want or need anymore. You won't get any bonus for giving him your best gear, so it's better to hand off any magical artifacts you won't be needing.
