168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Larian Studios has knocked it out of the park with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Baldur's Gate 3, sಞhooting up the Steam charts as soon as it launched and being well-received by fans and critics alike. While this new release has many players hopping on the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Baldur's Gate series for the first time, there are a few things thrown in there for older fans, and one of them is Minsc, the loveable ranger, and Boo, his even more lovable companion. But that doesn't mean they haven't made a single appearance elsewhere since Baldur's Gate 2.

Original Baldur's Gate developers, BioWare, loved the pair so much that there are a bunch of references to them in its other games. Across 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mass Effect and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dragon Age, little nods to the duo are everywhere when you know what to look for. But unsurprisingly, it's Boo who's stolen the show, as the adorable rodent even made an appearance in Mass Effect 2 - maybe.

You see, Boo isn't just a hamster. He's a miniature giant space hamster. Yes, that is his actual description in the games. So, of course, it was only natural that when BioWare made its own space-faring IP, it included Boo's species in the lore, once again including the name miniature giant space hamster.

Better yet, this is the type of hamster that Shepard picks up in Mass Effect 2 (and 3, if you transfer your save over.) There's no way to tell if this is Boo himself. You're in space, there's bound to be loads of miniature giant space hamsters roaming around. But it's the pet's appearance in the Mass Effect 3 Citadel DLC that suggests Boo has been dimension-hopping this whole time.

In the DLC, Shepard will tell their hamster to attack their enemies. Or, more specifically, to "go for the eyes." Any Baldur's Gate player knows this is what Minsc commands Boo to do in battle, followed by his delighted little squeak.

Speaking of, this is actually the same squeak you'll hear whenever Shepard interacts with their own hamster. Just saying. If Boo can somehow survive the events of two games and then come back for a third, anything is possible.

This is far from the only reference to Boo, however. Tali will often tell her drone to "go for the optics", which is a clear reference to Minsc's own dialogue. Even Dragon Age gets in on it, with Origins telling players that "if all else fails, go for the eyes!" You can't actually aim at the eyes in Dragon Age, so this would have been a little confusing, to non-Baldur's Gate fans.
