168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Baldur's Gate 3's success surprised so many of us across the industry, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:from Microsoft to Larian itself. So, it's no surprise to hear that the game's cast was taken aback too, especially now that they're making huge appearances at conventions.

Astarion actor Neil Newbon confirmed as much in an interview with our lead features editor, Jade King. Speaking as the cཧast embarks on thꦑeir first few big convention gigs since launch, Newbon says that he and the other companion actors have their own support group on WhatsApp. This helps them navigate the success the game suddenly shot into on launch day, especially as they all find themselves so busy.

"We have a companion character support group on WhatsApp,” Newbon tells TheGamer. "I think I created that a couple of days before release because I kinda knew what was going to happen, in a way."ꦕ;

Already appearing in big games before, Newbon knew how passionate fans could get. However, even with this experience, he was unprepared for just how much Baldur's Gate 3 would blow up.

"I didn’t know it was going to be this big," he says. "But I knew it was going to be interesting because I’ve been involved with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Detroit: Become Human, so I’ve seen how big these things caꦇn become."

Our full interview with Neil Newbon will be live soon, going into his performance in Baldur's Gate 3 in more detail.

Jaheira's actor, Tracy Wiles, shared a similar sentiment when I spoke with her at EGX (full interview also coming soon). Here, she told me that the support chat had been particularly helpful for her, since this is her first time being asked to attend conventions and fan panels. Needless to say, it's trial by fire, but she's loving it.

Speaking of, we were able to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:attend the fan panel at EGX, and listen as the cast dove into their roles and took questions from the audience. Newbon, for example, revealed that he thought Astarion was going to be just another vampire that gets bumped off in a fantasy s🤡tory. This turned out to be very far from the truth, as even though the game gives you the chance to kill Astarion, many opt to keep him alive. Hell, many of us even invite him to feed off of us, because we're freaks.

In any case, Baldur's Gate 3 looks poised to continue its victory lap, with another cast panel being held at MCM London this weekend. This time, it seems that every companion will be there, including Emma Gregory who plays Minthara - a character many miss on their first playthrough.
