168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Baldur's Gate 3 just got a new achievement with the latest patch - and it's impossible to acquire. Foehammer, which was just added to the GOG release of the game, mentions beating the main story in "Honour Mode", which is presumably a new difficulty setting even harder than Tactician.

Honour Mode cannot be selected in-game right now, so it's not clear how this will work. However, if it's anything like Honour Mode from Larian's previous game, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Divinity: Original Sin 2, then it will likely complement the Tactician difficulty while making i🍌t harder to save scum your way throughout Faerûn.

In Divinity: Original Sin 2, Honour Mode gives you just a single save slot, so right off the bat, you wouldn't be able to make a bunch of different saves for the different scenarios in-game. But it gets more brutal than that, as the save file will be deleted if your party is defeated in combat, making you start all over again. Yes, really.

Since the Baldur's Gate 3 version uses the same name, it may also have the same features as the setting in Divinity. So, don't get too attached to any Tav you create for the run - they might not survive until the finale of Act 3. It would make the feature to flee combat serve much more of a purpose, as getting at least one party member back to camp would ensure that the run isn't over.

You can change the difficulty at any point in Baldur's Gate 3. However, it's not clear if we'll be able to toggle Honour Mode off once we start our campaign.

Of course, given that the Baldur's Gate 3 campaign is longer than that of Divinity, it's possible that Larian will be a bit kinder to us in that regard, and the "Honour" here means something different. For starters, Baldur's Gate 3 relies heavily on dice rolls that can be skipped by reloading a save, also known as save scumming. It's possible that this mode will stop players from doing that and force them to live with the consequences of whatever they roll - a nightmarish prospect for many of us.

Yet if it does go all out and give players the option to enable perma death, then nabbing this achievement would truly be a badge of honour. Anyone who has attempted the game in Tactician can confirm just how difficult even the earlier hours of the game can be. Or at least, I hope you can confirm that, and it isn't just me losing fights to Intellect Devourers in the nautiloid wreckage.

Oh, and combat won't be your only struggle. Tactician mode also doubles the amount of camp supplies you need to have a successful long rest. You can still nap if you don't have enough resources, but your party won't perform their best in combat, making them more likely to lose the run.

In any case, this is all speculation until Larian confirms the news itself. Since an achievement exists for it, it's safe to assume that it's happening. We'll just have to wait and see when it's ready to be added to the game.
