168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Larian Studios is already looking ahead to its next project, with CEO Swen Vincke penning the narrative. Vincke says that he has a draft for its first act sorted too, as Larian looks beyond 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Baldur's Gate 3.
In a tweet thread, Vincke goes over his writing process, revealing that he's been working on a draft of the project's first act for four months now. He's quick to add that he's not teasing any kind of announcement by sharing this, but it still gives us some insight into the workings of the studio, and whatever it's planning next.
"After 4 months of rewriting and rewriting and abandoning ideas and then revisiting them, finally figured out what act 1 on this thing I've been working on needs to be," says Vincke. "Quote me when it's revealed to see how much of today's draft survives. I suspect a lot."
Vincke doesn't give us any indication of what this project might be, just that he's working on the narrative. He does add that it's "not what you think", so it might not be the Baldur's Gate 3 expansion or sequel many will be hoping for. Of course, Larian also has its own series, Divinity, which hasn't had an instalment since 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Divinity: Original Sin 2 in 2017, so that's a contender.
"I haven't shared it with anyone yet so it may be they all think it's bad and then I'll just kill this thread, go sit in a corner with my dog and pretend none of this happened. And press CTRL+ENTER and start all over again," adds Vincke. "But I think I really like this one."
If you want more information than that, you're out of luck, as Vincke also says that it will be "quite some time" before he can share anything else. This is more than understandable - Baldur's Gate 3 was years in the making and is still receiving regular updates. The team needs to rest at some point.
That all being said, Baldur's Gate 3's epilogue is very much hinting at an expansion or sequel, so something is probably brewing there. There are numerous references to the gang going on another adventure, and Withers even says that everyone can rest "for now". What this ends up being remains to be seen, but after the runaway success of the CRPG, we'll likely find Larian at the helm of the next instalment.
