For some reason, Alfira decides that The Dark Urge is a very trustworthy and safe person to hang around, and will join your camp in Act 1. So, a modder has made it a lot easier for everyone.

Keep Alfira Alive In Your Dark Urge Playthroughs With This Baldur's Gate 3 Mod

from Nexus Mods user TLG53787 does exactly that. It stops Alfira from ever turning up at your camp, meaning she avoids The Dark Urge's wrath. However, someone has to die still⛦, so it instead spawns in the bard Quil Grootslang, a backup character who turns up in the base game if Alfira is either killed already or knocked out.

You'll still have the blood of an innocent on your hands, and your campmates wil𓃲l still interrogate you over it the following morning, but at least you can take comfort in the knowledge that Alfira is out there, playing her music in peace.

That said, killing Alfira is always a great way to kick off a truly evil Dark Urge run. And there's never been a better time to do one, as the latest patch for Baldur's Gate 3 added♛ new evil endings for everyone. Unsurprisingly, the new Dark Urge ending is absolutely brutal, especially if you take your love interest with yꦛou to see you drown the world in blood.
