Where To Find Lorroakan

To find Lorroakan, you'll need to enter the city in Act Three. Head to Sorcerous Sundries, the shop that Gale wanted to visit. If Aradin is still alive, he'll be outside making a scene. Talk to him, and you'll learn that he's here to see the wizard about the contract on Nightsong.

You can lie to Aradin about finding Nightsong or tell him the truth. He'll demand a cut of the reward since he's the one who gave you the contract, and you can either agree or talk him out of it. Aradin will move aside and leave you alone, and you can head inside.

Which Portal Leads To Lorroakan's Tower

Lorroakan tests your knowledge with four portals in Baldur's Gate 3

Once inside, head up the stairs where Lorroakan's Projection will greet you. You'll need to use your knowledge of Nightsong to advance. Four portals will open, and you can examine the plaques beside them to solve the puzzle.

If you recall from earlier, Nightsong is the daughter of Selune. Most people be☂lieve that the Nightsong is an ancient relic, making tﷺhis puzzle essential to weeding out inexperienced adventurers.

Interact with the first portal on the left (the blue one) to enter Lorroakan's tower. When you arrive, you'll find the wizard preparing to shoot an apple ofꦯf of his assistant's head.

Your interruption is met with an interrogation. Lorroakan will question what you know about the Nightsong.

Depend𓆏in🌼g on how far along you are with Gale's personal quest, and whether you take him with you for this, you may get a special bit of dialogue where the two wizards flex their knowledge and ambition.

He hopes to accomplish what Ketheric Thorm did previously by trapping Aylin in his tower. With her inherent gifts, he will become immortal, and for that, you will be handsomely rewarded.

Regardless of your answers, you will be left to fetch Nightsong. Until you speak with her, the quest will not progress.

Bring Nightsong To The Tower

Dame Aylin dares Lorroakan to find her in Baldur's Gate 3

Return to your camp and speak with Dame Aylin. You alert her to Lorroakan's plans, and she is eager to show her strength. Dame Aylin will race off to face him and set an example. While Isobel wants to come along, Dame Aylin convinces her to stay behind.

If Dame Aylin took damage during the battle at Moonrise Towers, you'll want to make sure she's at full health before talking to her.

It appears that she doesn't regain hꦦit points during the long rests, so she'll need your help.

After your conversation, she takes off immediately;ཧ heal her beforehand.

Head back to Sorcerous Sundries and enter the blue portal. You'll arrive to find Dame Aylin confronting Lorroakan.

During this conversation, Lorroakan tries to calm the outraged Nightsong. In his attempt to persuade her to "share her gifts", she outright refuses to be trapped again. This means there's no room for compromise. Lorroakan gives you the signal, and it's time to make a choice.

Siding With Nightsong

Choosing to stand by Dame Aylin is the morally right option. However, it is the more difficult choice of the two. You'll have to confirm that you're turning against Lorroakan, and when you do, you'll roll for initiative.

Fighting Lorroakan means going up against him, his assistant, Krank, and four elemental Myrmidons. Lorroakan also siphons power off of these allies, making him hit harder and more frequently. If you hit him, he'll strike back with power from one of the elementals.

You're in for a long and difficult fight, but it's the good fight. You'll have Dame Aylin on your side. Separate your party to avoid AoE attacks, and focus on picking off enemies one at a time.

If Rolan the tiefling is still alive, he'll be here. If you side with Nightsong, he'll fight alongside you. While he mainly uses , every attaജck helps whittle away the Myrmidons health.

Krank and Miklaur are the easiest to eliminate, so get rid of them first to speed up the turn order. You'll need to be careful, but the battle can be won in a handful of turns if you're lucky.

After the battle, you can loot the tower for magical items. If Rolan survives, he'll take over the tower and bring his siblings to live there.

In your time of need, Rolan pledges to support you. You'll gain more allies in the fight to come, and you'll maintain your relationship with Aylin (and Isobel by extension). Your party members are more likely to approve o♍f this choice, except for the mo♕re chaotic characters.

Siding With Lorroakan

Choosing to betray Dame Aylin makes the fight much easier. There are only four enemies: Nightsong and three Moonlight Silver warriors. You'll have all of Lorroakan's resources on your side.

If you didn't heal Nightsong after Moonrise, she'll have reduced health here, m꧋aking the fig𝓀ht that much faster.

Once Dame Aylin has been defeated, Lorroakan and Rolan will move her into the trap, sealing her fate. Lorroaken will send you away with your payment and promises to be a powerful ally in the fight against the mind flayers.

If you betray Dame 🔯Aylin, you will lose her as an ally. If Isobel still lives, you will also lose her.

Who Should You Side With In Act Three?

Dame Aylin talking to Lorroakan in Baldur's Gate 3

While the choice is up to you, it depends on what kind of character you're playing. Dame Aylin has already been trapped for a century, and it's cruel to separate her from Isobel again and lock her in the same kind of trap. A bit of gold isn't worth the effort, nor is the wizard's help in the final battle.

Lorroakan may be a powerful wizard, but he's no aasimar. Siding with Nightsong means that you'll gain an additional three allies, while siding with Lorroakan means losing both Nightsong and Isobel.

The right thing to do is support Aylin, but if you're playing an evil character, or if you're just greedy, you may have other plans. Either way, there is plenty of loot to be had no matter which side you take.
