It's a bit of a cheat, however, since you can recruit traders and then pilfer their inventories without paying a gold penny.
The spells also ignore party limit, so you can feasibly recruit everyone you meet on your adv♈enture to build the ultimate army, ready to defeat the Absolute by simply overwhelming it. We even see the steampunk guard robot helping the gang out, right next to a slouched Withers. You could probably use it to recruit the real Dead Three, if pretending to be them gets boring.
Given that Baldur's Gate 3 is already one of the most modded games ever after under a year, we'll no doubt see even more bizarre ways to break the game and turn it on its head. For now, you can live out your fantasy of romancing Astarion as Ketheric. If you, for some reason, had that fantasy.
