Oh, Gale. As if getting dumped by a goddess wasn't bad enough, you've only gone and set yourself up to go through thousands of other breakups across all of our 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Baldur's Gate 3 saves. While the entire 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Baldur's Gate cast was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:too horny due to a bug, Gale fared the worst, throwing himself at players if they so much as glanced in his general direction. Hell, even that's optional, really.
Now, at long last, Larian is trying to fix this. Patch 3 makes huge, sweeping changes across the game, including a bunch to how Gale's romance works. It also fixes how the game keeps track of romances, so it no longer thinks you're hooked up with Gale instead of the campmate you're actually sharing a bedroll with. Hopefully, this means we can all stop breaking his heart without knowing we had it in the first place.
In the (which go on for ages, and contain a lot of spoilers), we can see many tweaks to Gale's romance. Or more specifically, tweaks to avoid getting into the Gale romance. This includes a fix for a bug that can crop up after bedding Karlach, which makes the game think you're actually dating the overly friendly wizard, for some reason.
However, the most significant fix has to be the one we've been waiting for since launch: "Slightly raised the approval threshold for Gale's romance." I hope the word "slightly" there is doing some heavy lifting, because that man is far too quick to rizz you up, especially for a man already going through one of the messiest breakups of all time.
Another relevant note here is, "Fixed a minor flow issue in a romance dialogue with Gale." In my case, he was speaking to me as if he had already said he loved my character - something which hadn't happened yet. Hopefully, this was a scripting error, and the guy isn't mixing up his fantasies with reality.
Even outside of updates that fix 🌃the romance, the Gale-centric patch notes are great. Here are some of my favourites, without context.
- "Prevented Gale from demanding your attention after talking to Tara when he doesn't really have anything relevant to say."
- "Fixed Gale referencing a line the player never said."
- "Fixed Gale thanking you for giving him his first item twice."
- "Fixed Gale's strange pose and weird facial expression when talking about himself."
Bless. We love a socially awkward king.
Hopefully, these fixes will also give those who actually romance him a better experience. He certainly has his fans, even if he didn't have the most polished romance at launch. In any case, the update is live now on PC and PlayStation 5.
