168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Baldur's Gate 3 is a hit, but that doesn't mean it's without faults. In particular, Act Three has come under fire, largely for its performance issues in the titular city of Baldur's Gate. Yet that isn't the only issue, as players have also pointed out that for many of the companions, the story just sort of... ends. Unlike other RPGs, we don't get to hear about what they got up to after the adventure is over, feeling a little bit underwhelming.
Thankfully, patch two will address this. According to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Larian Studios, the next big patch is "around the corner", and will begin the "journey" of adding epilogues. Origin characters will get them first, so custom origins will have to wait. Hopefully, this means we'll be told about these characters' exploits even if we don't play as them, letting us see how the adventure shaped them.
In a tweet, Larian says that the second patch "begins our journey incorporating feedback into Origin Character epilogues." This suggests that if you played as one of the origin characters, you'll get an overview of what you got up to next, maybe even the impact of your actions. It remains to be seen if they get an epilogue even if they weren't the player character.
If that is what Larian means by this, then a custom character who romanced an origin character could be tied into their epilogue as well. This is how epilogues worked in the Baldur's Gate 2 expansion, Throne of Bhaal, with the player not getting an ending of their own, instead just included with whoever they hooked up with.
That being said, Throne of Bhaal launched in 2001, and many RPGs since then have started chucking an ending slide in for the player character. Either that, or they tell you how your actions impacted the world after the game wraps up. So with any luck, this update is just the beginning and we'll get a full, proper ending later down the line.
This isn't all that the second patch will address. Larian also promises "major performance improvements", likely to the third act since that's the buggiest right now.
There's no release date for the patch, but we can expect it around the time that the game goes live on PS5. It's coming to the console on September 6, and then porting over to Xbox before the end of the year.
