168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Baldur’s Gate 3 has taught me that all it takes to defeat a giant teleporting spider and h🅺er legion of insect infants is a little old-ܫfashioned ingenuity.

I had encountered this spider-stuffed cavern before, fairly early in my current playthrough. In the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Blighted Village near the Goblin Camp, there is a well with a massive cave, the Whispering Depths, underneath. If you descend into it, you’ll quickly find bridges made from sturdy web. Step on one and you’ll ring the dinner bell, alerting a huge group of spiders to your presence. I did this early in the game, was underleveled, and noped out of it quickly. After advancing the main quest for a while, I decide🦩d to come back here and get someꦡ much needed experience before embarking on my trek through the Underdark.

I quickly cleared the area that had stumped me before, then advanced deeper into the cave. Assuming I had dealt with all the major monsters the cavern had to offer, I was surprised to be ambushed by the giant 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Phase Spider Matriarch who let out a shriek to waꦇke her brood from their eggs. Before I knew what was 🧸happening, my party was down.

Baldur’s Gate 3 isn’t a game where it’s easy to grind levels. Combat encounters can break out anywhere, but if you aren’t looking to antagonize random NPCs for no reason, you may have trouble finding a fight after you’ve advanced through the main quest. So, while I felt like I could use another leve♏l to really be ready for this spider fight, I decided to stick around and try a🥂 few new approaches.

Because you can split your party up into four individuals, there are a lot of different strategies. You can send each in a different direction, keep three together and send the fourth off to do some recon, or split up into two equal halves. The problem in this case was that the spider had a ton of eggs that it would immediately call to action if it noticed your presence. I needed to even the odds, which meant attempting to ma💛ke a few omelets without calling attention to myself.

I tried it a few different ways, but they all resulted in party wipes. The spider would see me after I had only taken out one clutch of eggs, leaving it plenty of little demonspawn to aggro. Eventually, I was able to find a play that worked, using the illogical power of the party's shared inventory.

Near the entrance to the cavern, you can find a pair of Spiderstep Boots which allow the party member wearing them to walk on spiderwebs without alerting any lurking arachnids. So, I maneuvered Spiderstep-clad Astarion into position, then unequipped them and sent them to my player character’s inventory — despite the fact that he was on the other side of the map. Now I could soundlessly maneuver a second character across the bridges without being noticed. Just like that, I took out all the eggs and positioned my character to hit the big spider with a shit ton of Magic Missiles — all guaranteed to hit the target. With the smaller spiders out of the way, my party could focus all their attention on the big spider and her two, slightly smaller minions. Because I had split the party up, the spiders' attention was divided in four directions. We made quick work of them and didn't even have to use a Scroll of Revivify.

This flexibility is something that I really appreciate about Baldur's Gate 3. The game will kick your ass if you insist on attacking every encounter the same way. But, if you stretch yourself, you can find a strategy that bulldozes your enemies in a few minutes. It can be tough, but figuring this stuff out doesn't just make me feel smart. It makes me feel like a super genius.
