The Forgotten Realms, the setting for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Baldur's Gate 3, has a unique take on deities. They're real, that cannot be disputed, and they regularly interact with their mortal followers. However, they're generally against direct intervention, explaining why the good-aligned gods don't just rush in and fix every problem in Faerûn. And, of course, why evil gods like Bhaal rely on their chosen to do their bidding.

Now, it's generally accepted that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Withers is an avatar of Jergal, the former god of death. With this in mind, he's certainly a lot more hands-on than other deities, chilling in your camp throughout the whole game, giving you hirelings, and most importantly, reviving us and our companions. But it turns out he could be doing a whole lot more, at least according to the description of his resurrection spell.

As you can see in this screenshot shared in the Baldur's Gate 3 subreddit, Withers clearly casts True Resurrection whenever you need a campmate brought back to life. However, in the replies, other fans pointed out that this spell's abilities should do a lot more than bring some characters back to life.

"My only question is how casting True Resurrection on Astarion doesn’t cure him of vampirism," says corisilvermoon. It isn't just Astarion that should have his ailment cured by Withers' spells, though. "The real kicker here is Karlach and her heart," says Woutrou.

Of course, the real reason why none of this happens is that it would make for a very poor story. After all, it would be pretty boring to completely cure Astarion and Karlach with a couple of 200 gold donations to Withers. But for the sake of argument, let's take a look at True Resurrection's description, because really, it could help pretty much everyone at camp.

A🦩side from doing the obvious - bringing the dead back to life - True Ressurection can also do the following:

This spell closes all wounds, neutralizes any poison, cures all disea✤ses, and lifts any curses affecting the creature when it died. The spell replaces damaged or missing organs and limbs.

The spell can even provide a new body if the original no longer exists, in which case you must speak the creature’s name. The creature then appears in an unoccupie🦩d space you choose within 10 feet of you.

So, not only should the whole missing organs thing address Karach's problem, but it's debatable that it should also mend Shadowheart's wound, bring back her memories, and remove Gale's orb. If we're looking for lore reasons why this might not be the case, the fact that gods are involved in these issues might be getting in the way. Or, Withers is just being difficult. Whatever explanation you prefer.
