Who Is Wyll?
Wyll is the son of Ulder Ravengard, one of the Grand Du🉐kes that rules Baldur’s Gate. As a🍎 child, he was trained in the ways of politics, but he always preferred the blade, dreaming of going on adventures of his own.
At the age of 17, he uncovered a plot to summon Tiamat within Baldur’s Gate. To make matters worse, the ritual was nearly complete. He didn’t have time to call for reinforcements, so he’d had to deal with the threat✨ alone, that is, until he was approached by the devil Mizora.
She offered him great power, enough to defeat the cultists and save Baldur’s Gate, in exchange for his soul. He agreed and was granted the power to summon hellfire from his hands, annihilating the cult and stoဣpping Tiamat from being summoned.
Who Is The Blade Of Frontiers?
Once his father found out that Wyll had made a deal with a devil, he cast him out. Wyll was bound by the contract never to reveal why it was made, so he had to leave without revealing information about the Tiamꦉat Cult. The devils made su🥀re to hide all evidence pointing to them or of a cult ever existing.
The sca♏r on Wyll’s face was left after the confrontaꦰtion with the cultists. His stone eye was given by Mizora as a replacement.
Once in the wild, Wyll made a name for himself as a monster hunter. He decided to use his hellish powers for good, hunting down any monsters that would threaten the frontiers of civilization. Thus, he was nicknamed the Blade of the Frontiers, a moniker he grew fond of.
Part of his contract with Mizora would have her point him in the direction of differenꦡt monsters, as long as they were aberrations or ꦅheartless beings. Mizora took this opportunity to trick Wyll into hunting Karlach, an unwilling soldier in Archdevil Zariel’s army. Without a normal heart, Karlach fits the description.
Can You Romance Wyll?
Yes, and in a regular good guy playthrough, he’ll likely be the one to make the first move. Rejecting him won’t change his story ꧃or overall attitude towards you, and to further advance in his romance, just make good actions whenever possible and aid him on his quests.
If you’re planning an evil playthrough, know that once you side with the goblins, Wyll won’t stay with you anymore. He’ll leave the party, not wanting to 🌟participate in any more heinous acts. This means that a party with b🙈oth Wyll and Minthara is impossible.
Can you break Wyll’s Contract?
Yes, but Wyll remains a Warlock for the entire game. You can arrange for Wyll’s freedom as soon as Act Two when Mizora sends Wyll on a quest to retrieve an asse🌱t of Zariel. With a successful perception ꦇcheck, you can negotiate a termination of the contract. Such termination would take place in six months, however.
The real breaking point (and the choice that awards an achievement) comes in Act Three. Mizora will offer to end the contract or extend it indefinitely in exchange for Duke Rav♛engard’s life. Whatever you choose, you can 🦋still save the Duke. The change comes at the Iron Throne, where Mizora will show up to either help you or kill the Duke.
