Baldur's Gate III now has a release date for itཧs release date, as Larian Studios has announced that they will announce a release date for the game on August 18.
Baldur's Gate III is the sequel to the RPG series based on the Dungeons & Dragons rules. The world of Baldur's Gate III is set in the current version of the Forgotten Realms and uses the fifth edition rules from Dungeons & Dragons. Baldur's Gate III is being developed by Larian Studios, which is the studio responsible for the Divinity: Original Sin series.
Baldur's Gate III was originally meant to enter Early Access on Steam in August, but Larian Studios admitted that this was uncertain, due to delays caused by COVID-19. Larian Studios has now revealed on Twitter that Baldur's Gate III won't enter Early Access t✨his mo♛nth, but that they will announce a release date for the game on August 18.
The announcement will be made during an event called the Panel From Hell and it will involve Geoff Keig💎hleꦑy and Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke. Swen has mentioned on Twitter that the game is coming soon, but not as soon as they had originally anticipated.
2020 has been the year of ancient RPG series being revamped in the modern era, with titles like Final Fantasy VII Remake and Trials of Mana coming from Japan, and Baldur's Gate III and Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines II coming (hopefully) this year. Fans have waited almost twenty years for a new entry in the Baldur's Gate series, and they can stand to wait a little longer if it means the game is better for it. COVID-19 has led to a number of delays and it seems that Baldur's Gate III won't be spared, but the developers must be confident in a release date if they are planning on announcing it soon, so the time to gather your party and venture forth could almost be upon🧸 us.
Baldur's Gate III does not have a release date currently,ꦜ and will launch on PC and Google Stadia.
