Even though it's a pretty great game, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Batman: Arkham Knight has a very rough history when it comes to its performance. It ran so badly on PC back at launch that developer Rocksteady Studios had to delist the title to fix the issues and apologize to fans for its release. Fast-forward over eight years, and it seems as though Rocksteady hasn't learned its lesson, as Arkham Knight is reportedly "unplayable" on the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendo Switch.
At the time of writing, the Batman Arkham Trilogy is not yet available, but physical copies seem to have been released early and have been making their way into the hands of players. One of these players is YouTuber GameRiot, who has uploaded some footage of the first half an hour of the game, and to say the performance is poor would be an 🐬understatement.
For the most part, Arkh𒀰am Knight is a pretty bog-standard Switch port. It runs at a very wobbly 30fps when Batman ꦿis running around Gotham, with building in the distance looking like large beige blobs. That was expected given the Switch is a lot less powerful than current and even previous generation hardware, but the main issue arises when Batman starts tearing up the city in the Batmobile.
So Arkham Knight I would stay away📖 from (as least until its patched). Arkham Asylum is pretty solid. But still not ideal. FPS 𒐪drops in combat.
While zooming through the street, the game drops to what must be around 15fps, stuttering all the way and generally not looking very good. According t♔o GameRiot, it felt even worse to play, as he says he was "struggling to drive&quo♛t; at times. In a series of tweets showing off the poor performance, GameRiot says that the game even dropped to 2fps and crashed at one point.
These issues apparently aren't specific to Batman: Arkham Knight either, as GameRiot claims there were also a bunch of frame rate drops in Batman: Arkham Asylum, though Batman: Arkham City is reportedly the best optimized title. It's difficult to gauge right now, as there isn't that much footage out there right now since it's not even technically out yet.
It's also worth stressing that GameRiot is running the game with the release patch. A day one patch hasn't been issued yet, which would more than likely fix a few issues such as frame rate drops, though it's difficult to see it completely eradicating all the issues seen in GameRiot's gameplay. Best to stay away for now at least, unless you're a big fan of portable Batman or rough Switch ports.
