The big standout of this game is your regular interaction with “John Doe”, as your choices and interactions with him will ultimatelyꦆ affect his fate. Make the right choices, and you could saveꩲ him, but if you make the wrong ones, well, you’ve heard of The Joker, right?

7 💛Batman: Arkham Origins

The team at WB Montreal gave us a prequel to the Arkham ser🎃ies in Batman: Arkham Origins. This game told the story of a much younger Batman who was just getting started in his crusade and how all the players in the later 🔯Arkham games got to where they were.

The combat system is practically the same as it was in Ark🥃ham City, but the open world comes alive with a mixture of gothic textures within the city, juxtaposed with the Christmas aesthetic of the game’s setting. 6 𝓡 Ba♊tman: The Brave And The Bold

The fantastic developers at WayForward (of Shantae and Ducktales Remaster fame) put together this game based on the animated series of the same name. It’s a classic beat-em-up wi🗹th platforming and puzzl🌟e-solving elements in the smoothly animated 2D space that WayForward has become famous for.

Th🌟e show and the game present a lighter side to the caped crusader, opting to lean more toward “Adam West” than “Ben Affleck”, but it only proves just how versatile the character can be when given the space. Combine that with the vast array of characters and co-op on the Wii version and you just know that you’re in for a good time!

5 Ba🐼tman Begins: The Video Game ℱ

Batman Begins launched a new era for Batman in movies and Batman Begins: The Video Game closed an era for Batman games and tie-in games in general. The game is an action-adventure following the plot of the movie rather closely and does a ♌good job of making you feel like you’re the driving force behind the film!

As a late 6th gen release, the game's graphics are impressive for the hardware it's on, but the big draw is how the majority of the movie’s life-action cast returned to voice their video game counterparts, and how it laid the groundwork for the world-changing Arkham series to follow after.

4 Lego Batman

One of the earlieওr games in Lego’s fanta🔜stic game lineup, Lego Batman does a lot to expand on the formula of Lego games before it while playing around with the new (literal) toys in the toybox that Batman brings to the table! The game is split into two elements; a story where you play as Batman and his allies, and one where you play as villains, bringing chaos to the tongue-in-cheek city of Gotham!

It's a fun co-op game and, having followed 2 Lego Star Wars games and Lego Indiana Jones, it's the most polished game using that classic formula. It is limited by its linearity and its simplicity, but if you're in the mood for some silliness in your Batman, it's hard to beat the original Lego Batman.

3 ♉ Batman:💙 Arkham City

Here’s the recipe: take everything that Arkham Asylum did, expand it to a true open-world environment, extend Batman’s move set, and create one of the most engaging Batman stories🎃 ever. Bake in the oven at 350 for 20 minutes, and you’ve got Batman: Arkham City.

The improved gliding mechanic makes travel across the map a pure joy and the city populated by violent criminals means that you're never bored. It's a fantastic game to pick up, and you will have the most fun playing it for either 20 minutes or 20 hours!

2 Leg🧸o Bat✨man 2: DC Superheroes

While this could be seen as a Batman-centric Justice League story, it is also one of the best Batman experiences hands down. Not only ✤do you gain access to a full open-world Gotham City, but you also have access to nearly all of Batman’s vehicles from the Batmobile, Baꦡtwing, and a Batman-themed bumper car!

So far this is the only open-world Batman game to provide a full arsenal of Batman's vehicles, it knows what it is and keeps itself simple enough to be a great Batman game without getting distracted. The story adds the tight Lego-style gameplay and couch co-op, and you’ve got yourself a game that was always destined to be a classic.

1 Batman: Arkham Knigh⭕t

This game takes all the best elements of Arkham City, expands the open world to a🔜bout 30 times, and gives Batman a tank! As the final installment of the Arkham Trilogy, Knight does a fantastic job not only wrapping up the story but also as a swansong to the excellent gameplay experience the series built and perfected.

The game is large enough to keep players busy for a very long time and it has a lot of replayability. The gameplay is also tight enough that, after more than 5 years, people are still finding ways to w🌟ork the system to create group takedowns that are practically art.
