The blog post starts by saying, "Our community is the core of Battlefield and we’re excited by how much it’s grown since we first released Battlefield 1942, nearly 20 years ago. With Battlefield 2042, we’re strengthening our commitment to ensuring Battlefield remains a welcoming experience that encourages Positive Play.&qu✱ot;

After introducing the topic, the blog then states some of the rules of the community charter, including treating others like you'd want to be treated, playing honourably, and sharing appropriate content. DICE also indicates some of the things players are able to do to ensure they're having a good experience, such as blocking and unblocking players, profanity filters, muting players, and being able to report anyone from within the game itself.

Speaking of blocking, DICE promises that the system will be a lot faste🍸r in Battlefield 2042. Players can report others whilst in-game and will actually inform players෴ whether the report is acted on by DICE.

The blog also reveals that Battlefield 2042 will be using Easy-Anti Cheat (EAC) as its cheating detection system. It says, "EAC already has a proven track record in identifying cheaters, such as within Apex Legends and STAR WARS™: Squadrons. It is also proven to be effective in ensuring your privacy, and security". Being banned from Battlefield 2042 won't be an easy fix either, as players will be "instantly disconnected mid-match and permanently banned across all platforms".

Finally, DICE has promised that it will continue to look into anti-cheating software and methods, saying, "While not always viꦯsible to you as a player, this means that post-launch we’ll continue to invest in developing internal capabilities and technologies".
