It has more than 58,000 signatures at the time of writing this as more people sign up with the hope it will lead to them getting their money back.
“EA’s release of Battlefield 2042 was a mockery of every customer who purchased this video game for $70 due to EA’s false advertising,” the petition reads. “Signing this petition is the equivalent of saying, 'I wish I got a refund on this game'.” It also claims a top US attorney agreed to take the case if the petition reached 50,000 signatures, which it has now done.
Battlefield 2042's problems have been plentiful. Despite most of them paying a lot of money for the game, people have been leaving it in their droves. 2042's player count on Steam dropped well below that of Battlefield 5 relatively quickly, and has even dropp💫ed below the player count of Battlefield 1. DICE also only reꦺcently revealed plans for its first 💞season which has been delayed.
Game refunds can be a tricky issue. As is correctly highlighted by the petition, if you bought Battlefield 2042 on Steam and you're unhappy with it, you can get a refund. That isn't the case on other platforms. This problem arose when 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cyberpunk 2077 launched at the end of 2020. Backlash over the state of the game was so fierce that Sony agreed to give those who had bought the game on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation refunds, if they wanted them, and even 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:delisted it from the PS Store for a chunk of 2021.
