According to Scalebound’s former lead ဣproducer Jean Pierre Kellams, the new game director might possibly bring over gameplay mechanics from his latter project. Bayonetta 3 development is headed by Yusuke Miyata, who earlier designed many key elements for the unreleased Scalebound.

JP Kellams shared his thoughts on Twitter, where💦 he ꦺconfirmed that Yusuke Miyata was the lead designer on Scalebound and that he is “super talented.”

“The controlling the summons💞 thing looks VERY similar to a mechanic that we had in Scalebound to control Thuban. Now that I’ve go൩tten to rewatch the trailer, I’m really psyched for that,” Kellams added. “It’s weird seeing a Bayo that I didn’t work on, but it’s also lots of fun enjoying it as a fan!”
