Major Plotline Spoilers Below

Luka Redgrave

description page for luka redgrave

Luka Redgrave has been present in the Bayonetta series since the first game. Both Bayonetta and Luka cross paths several times, although he initiall𒐪y serves as an enemy, believing that Bayonetta killed his father.

Of course, he eventually learns the truth. Antonio Redgrave was actually killed by angels sent by Balder when attempting to open Bayonetta's coffin before the start of the first game.

Once learning this truth, Luka served as a companion and informant for Bayonetta. Overall, Luka is a major flirt, but in the character description for Luka in the third game, we learn that the connection between Bayonetta and Luka is deeper than trust.

Interestingly, this very same description also mentions that the cause for the two meeting was due to "Luka's counterpart from a parallel world, the faerie King Lukaon." So, who is this mysterious king, and what are the faeries?

The Wandering King Of Twilight

Lukaon is a mysterious figure that leaves many gamers stumped. Prior to Bayonetta 3, there has been no mention of faeries, so his appearance may seem out of the blue. We first learn of Lukaon when Viola is lost in Ginnungagap, but🔴 his appearance is not explained.

We do, however, learn a bit more about Lukaon from his character description. Lukaon is the king of the faeries, which are not part of Paradiso or Inferno. Instead, they re🌳side in the human world, making them related to the faeries we know today.

character description for lukaon

The group led relatively peaceful lives; however, there is some evid✱ence of their existence in the form of myth and fairy tales.

With all of this in mind, it's safe to say that Lukaon is a counterpart of Luka from another universe due to the existence of a multiverse within the series.

Is Luka A Faerie Too?

strider about to attack bayonetta

Luka is not as faerie-like as Lukaon, but there is evidence to suggest that he has latent faerie powers. For example, Luka turns into Strider due to his inabilit𝓀y to control the faerie power.

This is where it gets a bit muddy, though. The character description for Strider states that he is the Luka Redgrave we know, combined with the "malevolent amalgam of the disembodied consciousnesses of Lukas from other parallel worlds, a being known as Dark Adam." Dark Adam is another version of Luka, and essentially represents pure evil, but he didn't start out this way.

character description for strider

Dark Adam was originally a non-evil Luka, but his body was destroyed by Singularity. With his consciousness intact, this Luka called out to his parallel universe counterparts for help but only drew in malevolent versions.

So, back to the main question. Is Luka a faerie? The answer is most likely a solid 'maybe.' He has faerie abilit🌺ies that present themselves, but he is not i🍌n control.

Arch-Adam

As a Luka counterpart, Lukaon is also compelled by "the single truth," which is something that all Arch-Adams seek. We don't ever properly learn what Arch-Adam and Arch-Eve are, but they seem to include all iterations of Luka and Bayonetta.

This would mean that Lukaon is a king faerie-version of Luka, who is fully aware of the multiverse. When Lukaon and Luka met face-to-face, Luka was "reawakened" to be the Arch-Adam origin.

What Is The Origin?

Bayonetta_3_Chapter_14_Banner

Again, not much is mentioned about Arch-Adam or Arch-Eve Origin. Based on context clues, the 'Origin' title denotes a pivotal Adam. By this, we mean a version of Luka capable of 'changing the world.

This is easier to get a grasp on when looking at Arch-Eve. Arch-Eves are essentially Bayonetta (and sometimes Jeanne), but not all of them are capable of saving the multiverse. The only Bayonetta capable of doing so is the main Bayonetta of the third game, which is why she is referred to a♏s Arch-Eve Origin.

When Luka Redgrave met an alternate version of himself, he became the Origin. It's possible that with Lukaon's power, all versions of Luka fused into one, making the reawakened Luka (origin) that is present at the end of the game.

As the Arch-Adam Origin, Luka is fully in control of Strider, which means that he also has control of the faerie powers.

What Was The Single Truth?

Many times, we have mentioned that all Arch-Adams are compelled to find the single truth. This includes Dark Adam and Lukaon, but what exactly is this 'truth'?

First, it's important to know that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the final chapter in Bayonetta 3 is called The Single Truth. This means that our answer may lie within this chapter. In this chapter, Bayonetta, Luka, and Viola come face-to-face with Singularity. In the end, Bayonetta is mortally wounded; Luka rushes to her side, and the two are dragged down into Inferno together in a final emotional scene.

Before being dragged down, Luka and Bayonetta share a kiss, and he states, "fate brought us here together, and it won't ever tear us apart." The truth🎶 that drives all Lukas in the multiverse could be the love for Bayonetta.

Bayonetta and Luka didn't die here; they were just brought into Inferno. In the post-credits scene, Rodin mentions speaking with Luka, which could mean that in future Bayonetta games (or DLC), the two are rescued and brought back to the human world.

On the other hand, the single truth could be literal, as Luka just wants to know the truth about all the supernatural evenꦇts tied to the Umbra Witches and Bayonetta♋, similar to his father.

Overall, this truth is unknown, but we know for certain that the single truth brought Bayonetta and Luka together.

Lukaon And Faeries In Future Games

ending of bayonetta 3 with viola pointing towards the screen

There is still a lot unknown about Lukaon and the faeries, but this could change in a future game. Firstly, it's important to note the faerie powers of Viola, who inherits the familial name of 'Bayonetta' at the end of the game. If there are future Bayonetta games, then Viola will definitely be a character, and her faerie abilities may be discussed further.

Through the character description of Lukaon, we also learn that he is from Avalon Forest. This is a new location in the games that you can visit in a picture book🌟 vꦚersion.

If you find all three keys for the Old Picture Book, which can be purchased for 4,100 Halos, you can play through a secret chapter that takes place in Avalon Forest.

This chapter is fairly short, but at the end, you see shadowy figures with glowing red eyes. At this point, the section ends, and the screen displays, "To Be Continued...?" In the future, we may be able to travel to Avalon Forest and learn the secrets of the faeries.
