If somehow you manage to evade capture or becoming fried-faerie food along the way, Cereza will have to choose between continuing to fight on her own or bravi🌺ng a fortress of faeries to save her stubborn🅘 demon companion.

You'll begin at the entrance of Ashenbark Woods in front of a step-ladder you can grow. At the top is a Sanctuary where you can rest and conc𓃲oct potions.

However, you'll notice that Ignis is not present, therefore making Fast Travel unavailable. Similarly, the Skills Mirror will only have Cereza's skills. For now, all you can do is save, concoct, and continue forward.

Cereza Enters Outer Puca's Fortress Alone

Before following the paw prints up the steep hill to Puca's Fortress, dip off to the path on the left to get yourself a Healing Tonic in the chest.

With it secured in your pocket, climb the hill and turn right to a spiraling ramp.

Cereza Runs Around Ramp Alone

This ramp will have a series of timed flamethrowers on the south side on the ꦍsecond and third levels. Time your run through these flamethrowers to reach the top.

At the top, run around to grab the piece of Journal before following the paw prints right.

You'll see ahead a line of fire traps on the ground. They are also on timers, so once they've burst the first time, run across and stop immediately on the other side.

Cereza Stands Between Fire Tiles And Spinning Flamethrowers

On this other side is a spinning flamethrower mechanism. They are continuous, so the best time to enter this area is when a flamethrower has just passed. Step in between the two of them and walk slowly with the fire.

Go all the way around in order to find a resource chest. After claiming it, walk around the platform to take the paw print path to the northwest.

Cereza Runs Across Second Fire Tile Path

Again, there are several timed fire traps in your way. Unlike the traps before, these traps activate in a moving line. In essence, the fire moves across them from right to le♈ft.

So, once the first fire trap activates, run behind the fire all the way to the other side.

Cereza Runs Down Staircase Beneath Spinning Flamethrower Trap

This next area is much like the other continuous flamethrower trap. Yes, there is a staircase on the southwest side, but it has no value to you 🎉right now, so avoid it.

Instead, your goal is to run directly across to the staircase in the center of this trap. You can either:

  • Follow the flamethrowers all the way around.
  • Be a bit riskier by running directly forward.

Either way, make your way down the stairs.

Cereza Pulls Lever To Turn Off Flamethrower Trap

At the bottom of the stairs is a continuous flamethrower. The only way past is to activate the lever beside it.

Once the flamethrower is off, you can enter a large, empty area with sꦡeveral fire traps that are currently off.

Cereza Pushes Box Crate Over Platform Edge

Climb the ladder on the pillar to the far left. On top of it is a movable crate. Push it right to make it fall over the edge.

Once the crate has fa🐷llen, a 🐬sound will summon several faeries in this area. They will begin attacking and activate the fire traps.

Cereza Uses Thorn Bind On Faerie Beside Fire Traps

You have no way to deal damage to them, but you can at least stun them with a Thorn Bind. So, descend the ladder and use Thorn Bind to stun the faerie on the far north side of the arena.

Return to the chest and place Cereza on the south side of the box. Move it down and right around the central fire traps.

When the faerie is no longer Thorn Bound, you can use the chest as a shield to protect you from its attacks. So long as you keep moving, you can practically ignore most - if not al💝l - faeries in this area.

Cereza Pulls Crate Toward Lever To Turn Off Fire Trap

Move the chest to the far right until it is placed under the lever. This will give you a way up to it, so let go of the crate and use it as a stepping stool to the lever.

After you pull the lever, quickly jump down and evade the faeries by running to the right. This will give you a short cutscene of faeries following you and a prompt for a lever. Pull the lever to turn on a continuous🅺 flamethrower and block their path.

Cereza Jumps Across Platforms Toward Puca's Fortress

Faeries dealt with, climb down the nearby ladder until you reach a series of platforms you can jump a🌠cross.

Follow the paw prints from here and down several ramps that pass by guarding faeries. You can't attract their attention here or interact with them, so ignore them and continue to the bottom.

Cereza Runs Past Traps To Journal Piece

Down here and along the main path littered with traps, grab a piece of Journal on your way.

Climb the next set of stairs up into the outer section of Puca's Fortress. You'll have a cutscene up top, and afterward, ignore everything and go left.

Cereza Climbs Ladder Outside Puca's Fortress

Climbing the ladder, you'll find a treasure chest of resources up top on the left side. Open it before continuing to the spiral ramp downward.

At its base, pick up yet another piece of Journal.

Cereza Runs Right Of Outer Puca's Fortress Main Area

Head right until you reach the central area in front of Puca's Fortress. You can't go ahead for now, so the only direction you can take is across the area and to the right.

Doing this will trigger yet another cutscene, but you'll also get an unexpected friend.

Cereza Chases White Wolf And Runs To Nearby Ladder

Follow your White Wolf companion to the right and up a ladder.

Heading toward the next folded ladder section, your new companion will kick down the ladder for you to climb up and enter Puca's Fortress.

Cereza Runs Up Ramp From Puca's Fortress Arcane Lantern

Follow the ramps into the fortress after the White Wolf until you reach an Arcane Lantern. Save if you wish, and then continue up the ramp to the left.

You'll see a set of gears turning up top. To the left is a piece of Journal and a device that you can use Witch's Pulse on to change the direction of the gears. Pick up the Journal, but ignore the gear device for now.

Cereza Runs Off Gear She Rode To Next Platform

Step into one of the gear's openings and ride it until you reach a platform near the top on the right side. St🃏ep off onto t🎃his platform.

To your right is the gear device that you should now activate.

A resource chest can be found behind this devic🔥e further to the right.

Cereza Runs Off Gear Onto Next Platform

Gears turning in the other direction, take the ramp on the far left onto the next gear. Once on, step northward onto a second gear and ride it to the top.

Once up top, follow the paw prints to a very large window where your camera orientatioওn will change.

Cereza Sneaks Past Patrolling Faeries At Open Window

This stealth section will require you to move Cereza left while avoiding the gaze of the patrolling faeries. Wait until the fae face completely away (with their backs to you) before making your way first to the center space and then to the left.

A second window area will require you to do the same, but with a twist of a different guard pattern. For this window:

  • Wait until the faerie guard is walking in the same direction as Cereza.
  • Walk to the center point.
  • Wait until the guard turns around and walks past Cereza to the right side.
  • Walk to the left side.
Cereza Rides Large Gear Further In Puca's Fortress

Like with the last puzzle, activate the gear device on this side and then step onto one gear before stepping north into the other.

At the top, turn right at th🌟e brazier to step onto a third gear and ride it over.

Cereza Turns Elevator Device On Next To White Wolf

On this other side, follow the White Wolf onto a platform with another device. Instead of turning gears, this one will activate the platform as an elevator.

At the top, step off and go to the left to reach the rafters section of Puca's Fortress.

Cereza Rides Horizontal Gear Around

Ride a series of gears up to a Journal piece. Then, follow the White Wolf across several thin rafter sections.

You can fall off here, so proceed carefully downward and ignore the prompts about alerting the faeries (you can't). At the end, you can open a chest to the left for a Blast Cocktail.

Cereza Runs Across Rafter Through Gear Teeth

For the next section, activate the gear device with Witch's Pulse to change the direction of the gear in your path.

Now turning clockwise, you'll be able to fit Cereza in between the gear teeth and walk across the rafter to the other side.

Cereza Sneaks Toward Captured Cheshire Interrogated By Puca

Follow the gears to a platform section near Cheshire and the faeries. A ladder can be found at the end of this area, so run toward it to trigger a cutscene.

As you move into the next chapter, you'll not only regain Cheshire, but you'll also gain the "Regenerate" ability for Cereza, allowing her to piece broken platforms together. Unfortunately, not all celebrations last, and you're in for one tough fight in the next chapter...
