This big box of Barovian beauty marks three firsts for Beadle & Grimm’s: it’s their first Legendary Edition set, it’s their first product licensed from the Wizards of the Coast back catalog, and it’s their first set to include … wait for it … finger puppets.
The Beadle & Grimm’s Curse of Strahd Legendary Edition presents a wealth of physical gaming materials for the Curse of Strahd (CoS) Dungeons & Dragons adventure released in 2016. The box is available now for pre-order on the Beadle & Grimm’s online store for $399.00, and it looks to be worthy of every cent. Aside from the expected prime materials such as maps and handouts, the CoS Legendary Edition includes finger puppets.
Curse of Strahd Adventure Spoiler Alert
If you have yet to play the Curse of Strahd adventure and want to keep your player knowledge and character knowledge widely seඣparate, beware reading further!
According to the official announcement on the Beadle & Grimm’s website, five finger puppets have actually been proposed to come with the box. The first and most obvious choice for which CoS character would be a finger puppet is none other than the vampire lord of Barovia, Count Strahd von Zarovich. The other four proposed finger puppets are for🦂 the Faceless Bride, Jester/Marionette, Undead Cleric, and Werewol💮f.
As awesome as the Strahd finger puppet sounds, this isn’t the first time Strahd has appeared in puppet form. The intro credit reel of first presented a puppet-like Strahd popping out from a coffin-styled jack-in-the-box. And then there’s the unforgettable episode, where performed a 33-minute sock puppet theater show of the Waffle Crew’s daring exploits in their CoS adventure with sock puppets🔯 crafted by the excellent .
The Beadle & Grimm’s boxes have become renowned for the quality and quantity of items they come stuffed with, and the Curse of Strahd Legendary Edition is no exception. In fact, it may just mark a new milestone in wha𒆙t they add in, and in what we may hope to see in future box sets. Hand puppet Acererak? Full-size Xanaཧthar mask? Tarrasque kigurumi? Make it so.
