Alien: Omnibus Volume One
Three novels in one!
For fans of the franchise, the first volume of the Omnibus is an excellent place to start. This collection focuses on three novels: Earth Hive, Night🎃mare Aslyum, and The Female War.
- Contains three full novels for you to enjoy
- Follows a variety of settings
- First of many Aliens Omnibus volumes
In a franchise, omnibus-style novels are some of the best to pick up. We've written about these anthologies with regard to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Warhammer franchise, and they're just as effective of a tool here. These omnibus novels work as a collection of different stories, which makes them great for people who don't want to commit to one single book.
The first Omnibus here covers three different novels: Earth Hive, Nightmare Asylum, and The Female War. We won't dive into all three, but each fulfills a different niche that makes this a fantastic start to your Alien journey. This is the first of seven Omnibus entries, so be ready to get them all!

Alien: The Cold Forge
Redundancies keep immoral companies afloat
For fans of drama, The Cold Forge is an excellent novel to follow. This story goes into the aftermath of Hadley's Hope, following the backup facility The Cold Forge and Weyland-Yutani's attempts to weaponize the Xenomorp𝓡hs.
- Takes place after the Hadley's Hope event
- Follows Weyland-Yutani's attempts to weaponize Xenomorphs
Alex White's novel The Cold Forge is one of the most highly-acclaimed novels in the Alien franchise. This original novel focuses on the events after the events of Hadley's Hope, following the Weyland-Yutani's efforts to bounce back.
Moving into a redundancy that was in place, a facility known as the Cold Forge, this story follows Dorian Sudler's attempts to discover a spy in their midst. We won't go too far into the story, as this is one of the best drama and intrigue novels you'll find, and a spoiler may ruin it all. If you only pick one novel from this list, you should make it The Cold Forge.

Aliens: Omnibus Volume 3
Best for indecisive readers
Not sur🌳e where to start your journey? This Omnibus volume features Sandy Schofield's Rogue, as well as S.D. Perry's The Labyrinth.
- Follow Rogue's story of a paranoid, tyrannical professor
- Read through The Labyrinth's story of trying to bring Human and Alien together as one
- Features two novels to fall in love with
- Relatively fewer stories
Stuck between two novels and can't pick which one you want? At that rate, why choose just one? The third volume of the Omnibus has two of the best stories in the Alien franchise collected into one. That's our only complaint with this volume of the Omnibus - only two novels, while other volumes often have three or more.
The good news is that the two novels in this volume are absolutely phenomenal. The first is Rogue, which follows the story of a paranoid and tyrannical professor who runs their crew like a warlord. Second is The Labyrinth, a story that follows a doctor's maniacal attempts to merge Humanity and Xenomorph into one being. You have to read these stories to believe what's happening, so we'll cut it here so we don't accidentally spoil any of the huge plot points in either story.

Are you looking for something less plot-focused? If you're a fan of the Alien franchise and just want to dive into the universe, then this is the novel for you. While it's more of a guide than a novel, it fits the description well enough to land itself on this list with resounding force.
The Colonial Marines Technical Manual takes the form of an in-universe manual for the USCMC - The United States Colonial Marines Corps. Filled to the seams with diagrams, schematics, plans, and more, this book looks into the equipment and vehicles that the USCMC will use.
