It does depend upon your gameplay, but in this list, we will assume that most people prefer to focus on their warrior damage and survivability.
There are those who might favor a hunter or assassin build — but generally, all players will inevitably run into many close-combat encounters. Keep reading to learn about the strongest, most effective armor sets in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, ranked from worst to best.
Updated June 4, 2023 by Stephen LaGioia: Assassin's Creed continues to expand its historical reach with the latest Viking epic Valhalla — 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:along ▨with the upcoming return-to-form Mirage and Japan-based RPG Codename Red. Yet, the antiquity-themed Odyssey has retained a large core fanbase, and for good reason. The stealth action adventure is brimming with lush worlds to explore and rewarding tasks to complete. Additionally, there is a massive lineup of weapons and gear to play with, which can be endlessly customized. And since we've since left out at least two more stout armor sets, we thought it was time to revisit and hone this definitive list of the game's most awesome armor.
It's largely understood that getting the most bang for your buck in terms of armor is actually finding Epic Gear with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the right modifiers and engravings (in particular crit chance, crit damage, and assassination damage). So, Epic Gear is almost always better than Legendary Gear (with the right bonuses).
Legendary Gear only has two passive bonuses (not including the Armor Set bonus) while Epic Gear has three. So, if you aren’t planning on wearing the full Lಞegendary Set (or haven’t found it all yet), then Epic Gear is better because you’ll get an extra passive bonus per Armor Piece.
ꦚStill, because Epic Gear Bonus🗹es are randomized while Legendary Gear bonuses are the same every time, the focus will be the more manageable Legendaries.
20 Amazon/Achilles Set ꦑ
While getting health boosts is nice, only getting five percent of the damage you deal back is marginal at best. Thankfully, some abilities (mostly of the Assassination variety) do some absurd damage, which earns you quite a big chunk of health back — unfortunately, the bonuses for the pieces of this set primarily focus on Warrior Abilities.
This set can be acquired by defeating all of the cultists in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Heroes of the Cult branch, and there are quite a few benefits to using it, especially if it's your only full Legendary set. But, because of the random spread of the bonuses, and the odd set bonus, it only just barely registers on this list.
19 Greek Hero Se𒐪t
This Legendary set is a great choice for those who love tanky builds, and as an added bonus the set also looks fantastic as well. The Greek Heroes set pieces give you extra health, armor, melee resistance, half-damage resistance, and elemental resistance, as well as a 15 percent warrior ability boost with each acquired piece.
Regarding how to find it in-game, it doesn't have much to do with Greek Heroes at all and is actually acquired by defeating five different mercenaries. The mercenaries you have to defeat are the Translucent, the Frenzied, the Resplendent, the Flash, and the Lucky Drunk, in any order you choose.
18 𓃲 Dionysoಞs Set
There are a lot of armor sets found in the Ubisoft Store for Odyssey that use Helix Credits and are extra shiny, but you absolutely don't need to buy any of these to get through the game. The armors in-game are, quite frankly, a lot better than these ones on average, but if you’re okay with spending real-world cash, then the Dionysos Set is one of the better (and snazzier) options for assassins.
First of all, it looks great. but, most importantly, it's a set that lets you clear out entire compounds unseen and untouched. Each piece of this set gives +25 Assassin Damage, adding up to a total of 125 percent with all five pieces, while every other piece (except the headgear) gives a bonus to critical damage as well. And, pair that with the set bonus which gives another 100 percent to Crit Damage with Assassin abilities specifically, and it'll be difficult for anyone to survive an assassination attempt 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:from one of the series' best Assassins.
17 Master Assassin's Set
The intoxication status effect in AC: Odyssey is a bit confusing at first, but it's really just a fancy word for poison. The only thing extra perk this gives, other than steadily hurting your opponent over time, is that an intoxicated enemy also has lower defense and attack, meaning you’ll hurt them more with the same aꦇtt♛acks while also taking less damage from them.
You'd think Dionysos Set would be all about intoxication, considering it's named after the Greek God of festivities and wine, but it’s actually this set from the First Blade DLC that buffs this status effect so drastically. Many of the individual piece bonuses have a lot in common with other potent armor, but it’s the Armor Set Bonus that really separates the Master Assassin's Set from the rest of the pack.
When wearing the full set of armor, the Vanish Assassin’s Ability costs no Adrenaline and will now intox🤡icate all nearby enemies, lowering their defenses for stealth attacks buffed by the individual bonuses of each piece as well. It makes clearing out some of the more difficult forts found later on far simpler.
16 Snake Set
This set is perfect for anyone who prefers poison to fire, as it increases your intoxicated damage by ten percent — the hood (and boots) add ten seconds to the intoxicating effect, and the gloves increase the rate of elemental buildup by 50 percent. This set is also geared toward assassins as each piece adds🎶 15 percent damage in this area.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey: 10 Best Bows (& How To Get Them)
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey players are able to take targets out from long range with bows. these are the best ones (and where you can 🔥get them)!
The Snake Set is straight-up overpowered when paired with the Fanged Bow, which turns all normal bows into poisonous ones, as it allows you to intoxicate any enemy coming your way before they even get close. To acquire the Snake Set, much like the Achilles armor, you only need to defeat all of the members of the Eyes of Kosmos branch of the Cult. This set will turn you into an absolutely lethal Damage-over-tim♏e assassin.
15 🔯 Athenian War Hero Set ꩲ
The Athenian War Hero set is a great choice for those who love to play sniper and utilize the Hunter abilities in AC: Odyssey, as well as for those tired of trying to hit enemies with arrows who use pesky shields. Why? Because, with this armor, your arrows get the handy, disruptive perk of shield-piercing.
Not only that, but this set also provides the wearer with extra headshot damage, increased bow charging speed, and a ton of bonus Hunter damage. The entire set can be obtained by defeating every member of the Delian League branch in the Cult of Kosmos. Bows and Hunter abilities have always been wildly strong in the more recent AC games, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:and even Valhalla is no different.
14 Pirate Set 🐻
Once again, another Legendary Set that requires Alexios/Kassandra to take out every single branch member in the Cult of Kosmos. This time around, it's the Gods of the Aegean Sea branch, most of which are naval experts that you'll fight on their own ships. After beating them all, you'll get the Pirate Set, and this is one that all pure Assassin-damage players should at least try out.
Every piece of the armor buffs either crit chance at full health, crit damage, or gives extra Adrenaline on an Assassination Kill. And, while the set bonus might seem boring compared to others, an extra 15 percent damage to Assassin Abilities on top of the other Assassin-damage buffs means you'll be doubling or even tripling your damage output.
That said, if you're gunning for this armor set, it's highly recommended you upgrade your ship before going on a hunt for these pieces as the Gods of the Aegean Sea have some very strong ships.
13 🅷 The Artemis Set
The final reward for slaying all the Legendary Beasts in the Daughters of Artemis quest is the Artemis set. This Legendary garb is meant for builds specializing in Hunter damage. It only makes sense, given that Artemis is the Goddess of the Hunt and is always depicted with a bow. If the shield-piercing set bonus of the Athenian War Hero set didn't sound too enticing, then the Artemis side likely will for most.
A lot of the individual bonuses are the same, but the overall set bonus gives an additional 50 percent damage to all Hunter Abilities, which is huge. Plus, while the Athenian War Hero set is all fancy and trimmed with gold, this actually looks like something an Assassin trying to blend in would wear, anꦍd the body paint is a great aesthetic bonus as🌳 well.
12 🧜 Immortal Set 𝄹
The Immortal set is aptly named since the set bonus literally makes you appear immortal by reviving you on death. There is a bit of a catch, as you just need to wait a minute for the cooldown to refresh, but it's well worth it.
This set is a huge help if you keep nearly clearing an entire Fort in one go, but end up getting discovered near the end and dying, frustratingly wiping most progress. Like with so many other armor sets, to get it, you just need to kill every member of the Worshippers of the Bloodline branch of the Kosmos Cult.
Individually, all the pieces of the armor set buff your Warrior Damage, and different pieces also buff your crit chance at low health, overall crit damage, and Adrenaline gain on critical hits. Frankly, it's just one of the better sets for Warrior builds and makes the harder areas of the game a lot more forgiving.
11 🎐 Agamemnoꩵn Set
The Agamemnon set is one of the most garish armor sets in the game. To get this, you just need to collect the pieces from the Silver Vein Cult of Kosmos branch. While the Master Assassin's and Snake Set were all about poison/intoxication damage, the Agamemnon set is entirely focused on the fire element.
Fire damage is honestly pretty overpowered in AC: Odyssey and this set only makes the imbalance more clear. All the armor pieces buff your Warrior Damage, but it's the extra bonuses to Elemental Buildup, fire damage, or burning duration that really caught our eye.
And, if you pair that with the absurdly broken set bonus of 50 percent burning rate (meaning the burning damage triggers 50 percent faster), this set makes a lot of the early to mid-game laughable easy. It's only when enemies start to pop up with fire immunity that you may run into some issues, but even then that only happens every now and again.
