Nothing, absolutely nothing, is better than a sweet treat. Well, maybe video games. Video games are pretty cool. But baked goods rank a close second. Thankfully, the developers of Pokemon understand this and have combined the two so that we can ha🅠𓆏ve both at the same time.

Pokemon can take inspiration from a lot of things, including types of food. Over the different generations, there have been a ton of adorably sweet baked goods Pokemon. They range from simple and savory to super sweet and super cute. These are the best Pokemon inspired by baked goods. They're sweet enough to eat!

1 Fidough

Not to be biased, but Fidough is probably the cutest addition to Pokemon in Generation Nine. It's squishy, friendly, and shaped like a friend. It is also inspired by Spanish baked goods. That's right: this yeasty puppy has culture in more ways than one.

Fidough is inspired by Mollete de Antequera, the traditional breakfast food in Andalusia. It's usually served with just salt and pepper and a little bit of olive oil. During the Cavalcade of Magi, a parade held in January, molletes get thrown down from floats to happy townspeople. This bread is actually only baked for a short period as it looks best when soft and fluffy, just like Fidough.

2 Appletun

Appletun, Apple Turnover

Apple desserts are a mainstay of fall. What baker hasn't gone to the harvest festival and picked up a few apples along the way? Apple desserts are sweet but not too sweet, perfect for those who prefer subtle sweetness to tooth-rotting.

Appletun, the Grass/Dragon Pokemon from Generation Eight, is based on the apple turnover. Turnovers are a kind of baked good where a filling is placed inside then the dough is 'turned over' on top. Turnovers can be sweet or savory and are popular across America. Usually, they're quite simple, but the creative baker can add crosses of dough across the turnover, just like Appletun's back.

3 Dipplin

On the tail of Appletun comes another delicious dessert fr𝕴om the same evolutionary line. Applin is unique among all the Pokemon in the series for the sheer number of forms it can evolve into. Ap𒁏pletun was one of them, and the second utterly delectable form Applin can take is Dipplin.

Dipplin is based on candy apples, a common stapl💜e treat around Halloween. Apples are placed on sticks and coated in a ca꧙ndy shell. They can be a bit tricky to make, but well worth the effort. Just melt down some sugar, add some food coloring, and any Dipplin fan will have a snack that looks just like their favorite Pokemon.

4 Alcremie

Mega Meringue Mania

If there's a dessert more finicky than meringues, we'll eat our hats. Meringues are heaps of egg whites and sugar that have been whipped to perfection. They're delicious but easy to mess up. Once a batch of meringues is ruined, there's nothing to do but start over. Thankfully, Alcremie is a much more flexible Pokemon than its inspiration.

One of the design inspirations for Alcremie is the Eton Mess, a popular dessert in England. The Eton Mess is a mixture of meringue and fruit arranged in a, well, mess. Although it isn't as elegant as Alcremie, it sure is tasty. The Gigantamax form of Alcremie is very clearly based on multi-tier cakes.

5 Slurpuff

The Sword PokeDex even says that Slurpuff is being used for medical testing. That's profoundly silly. But Slurpuff is actually very well designed- even if that design is a little quirky.

Slurpuff is based on Meringues and Mille-feuilles, two very different but very delicious treats. They may have inspired the design of Slurpuff, but the 'puff' in Slurpuff comes from Mille-feuilles. Mille-feuille is a type of cake made of puff pastry with layers upon layers of puffy pastry cream in between. Both desserts that inspired Slurpuff are delicious and perfect for sharing with your new sniffy Pokemon friend.

6 Swirlix

Swirlix, like its fully-evolved form Slurpuff, is a bit of a goof. That's not a bad thing, though. Pokemon is an inherently silly series about making friends and having fun. As much as players like to create the best teams or breed the best Pokemon, they will always have that silly quality. That means that a cotton candy Pokemon is a perfect fit.

Until the early 20th century, cotton candy wasn't available to the average person. The fancy yet delicate strands of spun sugar were hard to create and even harder to afford. But with the changes in industry in the 1910s, suddenly cotton candy was available for all. Slurpuff is based on the popular 'pink' flavor of cotton candy, but the second most popular flavor is blue raspberry. What's your favorite?

7 Milcery

Sweet cream, sweeter Pokemon

Milcery may not be a baked good itself per se, but wi💝thout its inspiration, there would be a lot of sim🐽ply tragic pumpkin pies out there. Milcery is inspired by cream, the staple of many a baked good and whipped topping.

Milcery is known for its 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:unique evolution style, which requires a player to spin around while Milcery holds a Sweet. It then is 'whipped' up into an Alcremie. Making whipped cream at home is super easy, just like evolving a Milcery. All that's needed is heavy cream and some sweetener, preferably vanilla. Simply beat the heavy cream and vanilla with a beater until it whips up into whipped cream. It's like magic.

8 Dachsbun

As the evolved form of Fidough, Dachsbun was always going to be cuter than cute. Just like Fidough, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:this adorable Pokemon is based on baked bread. There are a number of inspirations for Dachsbun's design, but the most prominent is Challah bread.

Challah bread is a special kind of bread baked by Ashkenazic Jews for holidays. Variations of🌞 Challah can be found all over the world, and there are many different versions for each occasion.
